Alinas Lomaland Bakery — Restaurant in El Paso

I used to love this place. The way I was treated today was the last straw. The two older gentlemen who work there are fantastic, but the girl with the glasses and short hair has a HORRIBLE attitude. I went in and ordered Chilaquiles and a coke. My order was taken by one of the older gentlemen, then the lady came out and told me they couldn’t fulfill my order. I said okay, that’s what I wanted to eat so I’m gonna leave. She immediately started giving me attitude and saying I couldn’t leave until I paid for my order. How are you going to charge me for something you couldn’t fulfill and I didn’t receive? She then snapped at me and said I had to at least pay for the coke. I hadn’t even drank any of it yet and she said “you ordered it, you have to pay for it” The older gentleman tried to calm her down, I gave up and just paid for the coke and let her know that she lost the restaurant a loyal customer. Good and consistent comfort food! Good Recommendation. I Like to try a restaurant at least a few times to verify consistency, and account for good and bad days. My family and I ate there recently and find myself stopping my more often. This is the only place I have found to have Caldo the Res during the week and later in the afternoon. I thought I was going to be disappointed but, Instead was delighted and very satisfied. It's everything you would expect from comfort food. The Breakfast Burritos are delicious home made style like Mama makes and the Donuts and sweetbread are mouthwatering, fresh with the perfect combination of soft and sweetness. The pineapple empanadas are my favorite and also the Concha's. Delicious Pineapple taste with chunks and not just the canned liquid filling like I've had at other places. Horrible experience, young lady that took my order over the phone for pick up got it wrong! I paid for my food when I got there, food wasn't ready even though it was over the 20 minutes they told me it would take, waited for an additional 15 minutes, gave me someone else's food, I complained and she still had the audacity to tell me I did not order what I had ordered over the phone, like if I'm not going to know what I ordered! She wanted me to take the wrong order and to top it off she wanted to charge me for it again. I ended up walking out and told her to keep the money.
