Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in El Paso

Went to get me some quick easy lunch. I was feeling a chicken sandwich would stop the rumble of hunger in my tummy. When I rolled up to the drive through I was greated with the most unenthusiastic greeting ever! Alright no biggie. Ask for a chicken Sammie. And was told "were out of sandwiches". Ok, truck may have not come yet no big deal. I asked for the 5pc tendies because everyone loves tendies. "What side" growled the lady behind the speaker box. At this point in my mind I'm like damn, bad day or something? "Fries! And a sweet tea please". "We don't have fries" the grumpy lady snarls through the speaker box... "ok...well what do you have"? "Potatoes..... and we only have original tenders". "Thats fine with me". Grumpy lady barks my total to me and tells me to pull forward. I'm not sure who the lady working around 11 am on the 29th day of December year of our lord 2023 was, but girllllll you need an attitude check. Don't like your job! I always enjoy the food from Church's. My personal favorites are the fried okra and the jalapeño bombers. I also enjoy their biscuits which have a honey butter glaze baked into the top of them. I get the spicy chicken tenders and my husband usually gets the 3 pieces mixed combo. We like their batter as it is crunchy and they offer a choice of spicy or original fried chicken. All of their sides are tasty (they have corn on the cob, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, as well as mashed potatoes and gravy) in addition to the aforementioned items. They also have a smokehouse barbecue chicken right now that looks super tasty (haven't tried it yet). It's okay to eat inside, but it's small so I usually get my food to go. They have a drink fountain containing Coke products and two flavors of Fanta (strawberry and apple). They make their own tea (both sweet and unsweetened), and they have Minutemaid lemonade. They put up a sign that says they were remodeling the dining room so they would close the dining room at 8 p.m. I got there before closing of the dining room time was and the door was already locked. If they weren't going to abide by the sign they shouldn't have even put it up. So then I went through the drive-thru and I asked them about fresh chicken. I was told that the chicken would be fresh and I was going to have to wait 10 minutes for for biscuits. So I waited. Once I got to the window the cashier was putting my chicken into the box already, and now the 10-minute wait begin. I asked her about the fresh chicken again and she told me that they were closing early and they were not going to put more chicken on. So I got my chicken cold. I would never ever eat here again.
