I came in to pick up an order I placed over the phone. I walked up and waited by the dessert glass between the 2 registers since no one was there, but I could see 4 employees about 10 feet away talking and laughing. I was raised to wait until you are acknowledged or called up before you interrupt, so I waited there looking at the group of employees talking for 5 minutes. One of them was obviously the manager or person in charge chatting and playing with his keys. I made eye contact with all of those there but no one came over to help me, but simply continued their conversation. Eventually, another female employee came up, but instead of acknowledging me, she began wrapping up other orders and then began putting away the dessert I was waiting to order. After her second trip she asked me, "Are you ready to order?" Still not even a hello, but I just explained I had been ready to order and that I wanted 2 desserts and to pick up my phone order. She rang me up and I left. I don't understand why no one would even say a word to me for so long. As a business manager myself, I felt disrespected to not even be greeted or acknowledged. It bothered me to see some one in charge not taking the initiative or setting the tone for their employees to make a customer feel valued or, at the very least,...

This is the first time in years that I feel compelled to complain about the service at LaMadelaine. Just 30 minutes ago my husband went in to the restaurant and ordered , like he does once a week, i the Chicken Parisian. Like always , no bacon. Was done incorrectly. So my husband returned it and advised he had asked for no bacon. The person proceeded to hand pick the bacon off the sandwich. When my husband saw this, he said, no no , remake the sandwich, don’t just pick out the bacon. The worker did and gave him the sandwich with just bread and chicken in spite . Husband proceeded to ask for the manager Jacqueline Torres who smirked at the situation and didn’t assist. My husband was frustrated at this point returned all the pastries and sandwich and said just refund me everything, I’m leaving. To add insult to injury, she shortchanged him the amnt. Original total was 30 dollars and change and she just refunded 26.00. What upsets me more is that my husband felt racially targeted because his English is broken. This is not the way to treat a valued tiered customer. Shame on you...

Dry, stale, day old ham and cheese Croissant. Creme brulee that tasted like burnt butterscotch pudding The lamest attempt at a French onion soup I have ever seen. Campbell's onion soup concentrate served straight out of the can with boiled onions And literally 6 shreds of cheese on top that weren't even broiled. Total Inedible saltbomb! I was told the cheese would melt from the heat in the soup. But the soup are served barely over Room temperature. I sent this train wreck back

Croque monsieur toasted one side but not the other served near cold. Really sour Housemade tomato based soup Surprisingly not over salty Chicken pasta primevera, almost no chicken broken sauce and waaayyyy too much garlic and salt

Chicken Friand, over Cooked, dry crispy puff pastry filled with a smatter of chicken and moderately salty mushroom sauce Was the only decent thing we ordered.

$50 later I felt ripped off and felt absolutely certain I would not...

I have to say this place regardless if it's the Joe Battle location or Fountains never have I had any issues and today wasn't a change either. It's a beautiful place to enjoy celebrations or just a cup of coffee. Now I have to always say yes it can be a little pricey but it's well worth it especially if it's only once and awhile. I love how the food is delicious and there's something for everyone. There vegan friendly dishes. There is a few dishes for fish lovers just pastries. You name it. Let me recommend a few things : Pasta lovers try the chicken pesto pasta (without chicken is okay too) Sandwhich lovers try any with tomatoes and mozzarella Soup lovers potato soup Salad lovers should definitely get the Cesar or just a bowl of mixed fruits Well those are my top picks but of course the menu has so much to choose from! If you are thinking about the place just go and have an enjoyable time. Bon appetit!

Cute atmosphere chain cafe. Loved the fireplace in the middle as it set the ambiance. Service was friendly. Food was flavorful but nothing mind-blowing. The flavor of the French Onion Soup was good, however the croutons were not as pictured on their site and were already super mushy before I even took my first bite, and it definitely could have used more cheese. The Chicken Friand's mushroom sauce and puff pastry were wonderful! The Chicken inside of the chicken Friand was lackluster and could have been left out. My husband enjoyed his salad and sandwich. As for the creme brulees... The gingerbread one was flavorful but tasted more like an eggnog pudding. The standard caramel creme brulee definitely had more of the eggy custard flavor I was looking for, but there was no crunchy brulee top as it was all soggy. It's a good quick french food fix, but won't be a constant go-to for me.
