Long John Silver's — Restaurant in El Paso

I have been here twice recently, and I can recommend this location ( presuming you like seafood and/or chicken ). On Monday they have a fish and chips ( fries ) special for $1.99. ( I used to get that special on fridays at the location on Yarborough near gateway west. ) They are willing to substitute another side in lieu of the fries. ( I got Cole slaw and green beans as two of the sides. ) They have an assortment of condiments including malt vinegar ( for the fries, or whatever ) as well as tarter and red sauce ( and ketchup if you prefer ). They have baked fish as well as tasty hush puppies. Their fish is wild caught. They have a number of combinations. They have several discounts including senior discount on non-special priced items as well as daily specials. They also have tasty desserts and sodas and teas both diet and regular. The to go option was what was appropriate for us, but they also have drive thru and dine-in options. Ordered food through DoorDash at 8:30 pm and store was supposed be open until 10 pm. Received a notice from DoorDash that the order had been canceled by the Long John Silver’s store at 9571 Dyer at 9:30 pm. We were able to drive to the location and arrived at 9:45 pm. They took our order at the drive thru and when we got to the window the employee said we don’t have any food ready it’ll be 20 minute wait. We said ok that’s fine. She slammed the window, extremely rude! She came back and said sorry we’re closed. It wasn’t 10 yet and then she slammed the window again. The so called manager then came to the window stating they were closed and that the machines weren’t working. I then asked her why they canceled my DoorDash order an hour after order was placed and she stated she wasn’t feeling well? So basically they were being lazy and closing over an hour before closing time. Employees and manager need further training on...

The personality of an employee will always make a difference especially when they are short handed on staff. I placed an order and l waited 15 minutes before I said anything. I sat down and saw this older gentlemen waiting but l thought he was waiting for someone else. It turn out he had placed his order long before I did and stated they take a long time. I went up front and asked much longer do l have to wait for my food because l have to return to work! She looked around and noticed on the computer l was waiting for a while. She came up to me and said sorry we are short handed on people. Another seven minutes came up and brought me my order. She said here is a extra Cole slaw for your trouble and walked away. What an attitude. I will never return to this place...
