Los Colegas — Restaurant in El Paso

I used to like this place and would eat here frequently, but the last two times I have been there it’s been totally disgusting. The cashier bartender doesn’t wash her hands after handling money then makes the drinks. She clearly does not know the difference between a Cubano set up and a Michelada setup and after arguing with my husband over her incompetence she clearly and intentionally added so much Tabasco sauce in our setups it was not even drinkable. I am still dealing with a stomach ache from her sabatoging our drinks with a table salt rim and half a bottle of Tabasco. I still don’t know if this is causing my stomach issues or if it was the red snapper that was crispy on one side and not fully cooked on the other. I did speak with a manager and she did take a beer and a setup off my ticket but does not compensate for the Illness I have been experiencing since Good Friday. The waiter was sweet and provided exceptional service. As for the Cubano and the food I definitely will NEVER eat at this...

The drinks are nasty I asked for sweet tea she came out with old unsweetened tea that had fermented, I then asked for limeade which was even worse. I then asked for water and you’ll think a restaurant would use RO purified water but you’ll be wrong when you tell the waitress she acts like you should be grateful, the shrimp cocktail tasted like aged wine, when they finally gave my daughter her kids meal burger it came with old bread and it was just cheese and a burn piece of meat. I also hope that you don’t plan on sitting there for long periods of time because they have the cheapest most uncomfortable chairs. $133.52 for this btw I didn’t say anything to the waitress because I felt like she knew and at that point they don’t really care. I can get diarrhea and have a nasty beverage for far cheaper...

Food was good. I went on Monday for special shrimp cocktail to dine in, waitress was too busy talking to a boy instead of serving me and my son I had to go get my own high chair for him cause waitresses were too busy talking instead of doing what they have to do. They looked at me weird because I had to get my own chair for my baby they were taking forever and there was only 2 tables with people. And after that when we finished food, I had asked serveer to get me a box for my leftover plate and she had it on her hand taking forever, and by 5 min she comes back with it and tab. And she goes back talking to a guy table which we had to leave already so I just went over to the bar paid my tab and everything and she gave me attitude.
