I tried McAlister's for the very first time. I was excited. I thought the food on the menu looked really good. I placed my order online for my wife and kids and went through the pick up window to get it with no issues. It smelled amazing when I was at the window so anticipation was at an all time high. Brought the food back home and handed everything out to the designated person. No missing food. I thought I was in the clear. I was wrong... We all opened our items and they looked nothing at all like the pictures with the exclusion of the drink, Mac and cheese, and the chips. Now I didn't expect it to look exactly like what was shown on the menu online. Hardly anyone makes their food look the same as the pictures so I don't hold it against them for giving me items that looked nothing like the pictures. Upon inspecting the items to make sure they were what they were supposed to be (since they didn't look like the pictures) I realized that they were not made correctly. Things like requesting no black olives or no tomatoes and still getting them. This left some people unable to eat their food. I would have understood if it was one item that this happened with but every item I modified was made regular. My son got the mini pretzel dogs and they were burnt on the bottom. Luckily I was still able to eat so I tried a little bit of everything. I thought the Mac n cheese was pretty good for not being home made but that was the only thing. Everything else I tried was just lacking. I know it's a sandwich place but it honestly just tasted like a regular sandwich that I could have made at home. Even the baked potatoes tasted bland. I don't know if they ran out of seasoning or what happened but I spent way too much for such a mediocre experience but hey they gave me two free chocolate chip...
Read moreFirst, the food was ok enough to earn a star. Employees were not friendly, nor did they engage us to even attempt to make our family feel welcomed. The cashier took our order and said they would call my name when my to go order was ready. So we sat down and waited. There were three other tables in the restaurant at the time, already seated with food, and a few others who came in after we ordered. Definitely was not a busy time-with about as many guests as employees-at the time we ordered. Being my first visit, I didn't know how long to expect it would take to make 4 sandwiches, but I would imagine around 5-10 minutes should be acceptable. We parked exactly at 7pm so we couldnt have ordered much later than 7:10. My name was never called. My wife went to go ask at 7:38 if the food was ready and was told that it had been ready for "a while." I saw the cashier who took our order, and a few other employees, walking past our table about 3 or 4 times before we decided to go ask if it was ready. Three of the orders were to include a pickle, and no pickles were included. For as slow as it was, and for such lack of attention, I really don't think service or meal was anything worth the price paid for 4 people. Everyone in the group agrees we will not...

A woman with braids opened the window with a very rude look on her face and we politely said hello and just said the name on the order because she didn’t say hello or anything. She just closes the window and comes back and just hands us the food and we said thank you and we hoped she had a good rest of her day and again not a word and she just closes the window very fast. We didn’t hear a single word come out of her for the entire interaction. Just a very rude look on her face the entire time. While it was short and she didn’t say not a single word, that is not good customer service at all. If you don’t like your job or you’re having a bad day, leave. Being in the customer service industry it is required to put your mood and feelings aside as best you can because innocent customers don’t deserve that. It is unacceptable to take it out on them. Food was good but way too expensive for what you’re getting. Most likely never returning again just based on the customer...
