Walked in for the first time , liked the atmosphere until I clearly spoke English to the lady upfront and she decided to only answer me in Spanish and even though I continued English reply she made me switch to Spanish… so I moved on and I got the menu and chose a 9.99 lunch special of a hot soup and a sandwich with drink on the picture and I asked if they had the lunch special as it was around 9am and they said yes so I proceeded to order the tuna sandwich and tortilla soup . I waited about 15 minutes for my food and when I was charged it came out to $13 which was a lot for me as I’m on a budget and no drink came with the combo … they stated to go orders don’t come with drinks and I thought that was plain rude . The tortilla soup tasted like it had a lot of soy in it and it had a couple of avocado strips and no veggies. It was all liquid and greesy and the taste was not good . The sandwich was messy and fell apart and overall as a DoorDash driver I could not enjoy my meal and it was pricy for the quality . The veggies were not placed correctly on the sandwich and it fell apart while I did my job. Not happy with this place at all and have respect for English speakers! I took my family here for the first time last week and It'll be the last time I go. The ladies working had a positive attitude and were not rude at all but the service could have been better. I had to remind our waiter several times that one of my kids was missing her tea, then my kids plate was suppose to come with pancakes, which they didn't include, I was charged for a tea that was suppose to be included with the lunch special, and a soda that was suppose to be 1.25 she charged 2.50 as a tea. The portions were small for the prices and the food was ok, sad to say I spend $80 and everyone was still hungry after we left. I did get $2.5 back for the tea, but didn't realize the other can coke till I left. I've visited this place a couple of times and I've enjoyed my meals everytime. I have tried the lunch special with a sandwich and soup. The sandwich was good but the tortilla soup is great! The broccoli soup is good too, and is not your typical cream or cheese soup. I have also tried the breakfast special and that has been my favorite. I love bacon and I'd never tried turkey bacon; i was skeptical, but it was gooood! A lot meatier. The pancakes were great too. Just a great meal for a great price! The Island Boost smoothie ...
