I walked in there was two carryout order ahead of me. Three cars in the drive thru. There was two parties eating in the dining room. I placed my order. After about twenty minutes passed one of the carryout orders was completed. Ten minutes later (total of thirty minutes passed) the other person asked about her order and was told 2 more minutes. More time passed and she demanded a refund......she only had one order of tacos. Two more people came in and placed carryout orders. One of them got their order. I asked how did he get his order before me? I physically saw him place the order with cashier 40 minutes after me. No answer. I then ask how much longer? I was told "I'm doing the best I can and I will drop your order down now were busy" I stood watching the lone cook in the kitchen who was doubling as a cashier and drive thru while one other employee wiped tables down and the other two were in the back? Scariest thing what I saw in kitchen. The cook with no gloves or apron. He was handling money and food. At one point reached in his pocket for a pocket knife to open a bag of raw chicken! A total of 55 minutes later....I finally got my meal. As I was leaving the other person who order carryout told me he usually has 30 to 45 minute wait time on his order and he was getting frustrated with the service as well.
When I home I realized i made a Big mistake on my part I did not inventory the order. I was short an item. I called and was told to return or get credit back on my card. I choose the credit. I did not want to spend another hour waiting. This not a place to go if you expect your food in a reasonable amount of time. I can remember taco cabana dining room and wait time was at the most ten minutes. Lol I sure...
Read moreWas there late at night after have a light night out with girlfriend. Arrived about 10-15 minutes after the inside had just closed but drive through remained opened. So drive through we went, we ordered then I exited the car to go inside to wash my hands while my gf drove to the side to pay and acquire the goods through the drive through. That's when I discovered the lobby was closed, so I reluctantly returned to the automobile as she was paying. The staff was courteous and provided all the ingredients, napkins, salsas, the works. Then made apologized for having the lobby closed as it was already time, to which I then said I just wanted to wash my hands. What blew me away was, that anyone else could have just shrugged it off and ended it there, no, one of the personnel...I think Edgar was his name (young guy with glasses), said he'd unlock the side door so that I could enter and he did. I entered and the other personnel were cleaning, and despite their heavy work load they were all courteous. On my way out I noticed the salsa bar still up, it did hurt to try, right? So I asked if I could acquire some, Edgar gladly obliged and on I went, he also gave me a bag with out asking for it! I greatly appreciated it! And I really wanted to rate him on the receipt, but I lost it! Anyhow that is what customer service is all about! Made the food much more enjoyable! Thank you so much! I am sure to return in case of any late night...
Read moreDon't bother coming to this location. we came tonight on 4/3 and the service and food were terrible. everything was cold, the staff seemed very rudy including the manager that rung us up. He made our margaritas and the mangoneada had way too much chamoy. our nachos literally only had 4 little pieces of steak, when it came to the chile and sauces they only put a little amount which made my husband ask for more. we were too tired to complain or ask for more steak so we just ate it. But we did here 2 other customers ask for something else cus it was the same issue or they forgot something in their orders. I understand the drive thru may have been busy but for dine in we arent in a hurry. the manager seemed a bit annoyed too. I never had this experience at the Joe Battle location, they always seem to be in a better mood and the food...
