Stopped by for breakfast after picking things up at academy sports, which shares the parking lot with Whataburger. Washes my hands before placing my order & noticed restroom was clean. Thank you. Cashier was assisting a customer & a cook walked by & said she'll be right with me. Again thank you for that. Placed my order & cashier apologize that she need to get change for my bill. Management walked by & as she was opening office greeted me with a smile & asked how my day was. Excused herself after & got change fir cashier. Again cashier apologize. The coffee was out, but explained they were making a fresh pot. Don't mind as long as its fresh. Another young lady came & gave my order & came to fill my cup with fresh coffee. Fries were substituted, instead of hash brown sticks. They were fresh as well. The biscuits didn't seem to fresh as well as gravy. Read moreWhataburger is a staple in Texas. I think it must be the Official Burger of Texas! It is a decent burger most of the time. Sometimes you can walk into a substandard establishment. I once saw an employee put the cheese for the burgers on top of the dusty venthood and then pick it back up and put it on people's burgers. This doesn't happen often, I hope. I wish Whataburger would offer a meatless burger option. Sometimes you just don't want meat. The fries are pretty good. The onion rings are pretty good. The shakes are good for a once in a while treat. The Whataburger never fails to make the mouth water. It's always made fresh and to order. The buns are soft and warm, the meat juicy and cooked with a little crisp on the edge. The lettuce and tomato are always fresh and crisp. My parents came to Corpus Christi in 1970. Back then, the Whataburgers were the size of dinner plates! They'd order two burgers and feed a family of four! Things change. Still, Whataburger is a must have! No matter what town or city you're in you gotta have a...
Read moreMy very first time getting whataburger was through the drive through. I ordered a number one with cheese and no mustard and when i got home and opened up my burger, the wrapper was literally dripping in mustard and had no cheese. I was so upset i cried... im allergic to mustard. This occurred back when i was younger so i reluctantly decided to give it a second chance when i went earlier today with my dad solely because i actually like their milkshakes. We ordered two burgers and two strawberry milkshakes to go. They brought out our order and had us wait about 25 minutes for them to even start making our milkshakes. I had told the lady who brought out our food, "id rather not wait for my food to get cold. If you cant bring me everything at one time, can i just have my money back?", the lady rolled her eyes at us and gave us unmixed milkshakes. Of course we hadn't realized till we got home. I already didnt like whataburger, but now i hate them and will never waste my money...
