Randy's Donuts is an iconic establishment here in LA offering a wide array of delectable treats that leave a lasting impression.
Firstly, the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant stole the show with its perfect balance of flavors. The flaky croissant enveloped a generous amount of succulent ham, tangy cheese, and a touch of jalapeno spice. Each bite was a harmonious blend of savory and mildly spicy goodness, making it an absolute must-try for any croissant connoisseur. The regular ham and cheese was đ as well!
Next up, we had the M&M glazed donut. This eye-catching creation not only delighted our visual senses but also sent our taste buds into a state of bliss. The glaze was lusciously sweet, with a subtle hint of vanilla, while the vibrant M&M candies added a delightful crunch. It was a perfect marriage of textures and flavors.
For those with a penchant for classic treats, Randy's raspberry-filled jelly donut is a nostalgic delight. The pillowy soft dough, dusted with a delicate sprinkle of powdered sugar, housed a generous amount of tangy raspberry filling. The combination of sweet and tart was utterly divine, and each bite was a delightful explosion of fruity goodness.
We also enjoyed the chocolate/chocolate donut - it was exactly what we expected... densely delicious. While the chocolate iced crueller (not pictured because that's the one we tried first as they're typically our favorite) didn't quite reach the soaring heights of its counterparts, it still managed to hold its own. Admittedly, it was slightly denser than expected, but the rich chocolate icing provided a decadent touch. It was a decent option for chocolate lovers, but in comparison to the other exceptional offerings, it fell slightly short of our expectations.
In conclusion, Randy's Donuts is a treasure trove for all pastry enthusiasts, offering a remarkable selection of treats that are sure to captivate even the most discerning taste buds. From the unforgettable jalapeno ham and cheese croissant to the visually stunning M&M glazed donut and the nostalgic raspberry-filled jelly donut, this place knows how to deliver culinary delights. While the chocolate iced crueller may not have reached the same heights as its counterparts, it was still a decent choice. Randy's Donuts is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an extraordinary donut/pastry experience that will leave them...
Read moreEven though their doughnuts are great, it is overshadowed by the worst customer service ever. First off, they take forever to assist you despite the long lines in the AM.
I go there quite frequent and it is always the same service, it doesn't improve. Today I stopped by and noticed they had like 3 employees in the back doing nothing, one of them texting while she can easily see a line of paying customers, this person wears wayfarer glasses and a bit on the heavy side female.
The African-American girl up front smiles but you can definitely tell she need to try harder to improve her service. I nicely asked her why only 1 person up front and all the rest in the back, she then commented that they are decorators. This is totally unacceptable since I saw one of them come out and started assisting.
I could tell the people behind me in line were not happy about this, the corporation needs to look into who they hire and a proper training wouldn't hurt.
As paying customers we deserve the best customer service possible. Wouldn't you like the same?
Hope my comment helps you better your service...
Read moreI visited Randy's on a Saturday morning around 8 AM and was pleased to find the line relatively short, with only four people ahead of me. The donut selection was well stocked, which was a great start to my day.
I decided to order three maple bars, a dozen maple donut holes, and two glazed old-fashioneds. While the maple bars were ok, I found both those and the donut holes a bit lacking. They seemed less fresh, possibly made the night before, as the maple topping flaked off in large chunks. The flavor was good, but the freshness left much to be desired.
The glazed old-fashioned donut, however, was a standout. It tasted fresh, and I detected a subtle hint of lemon, which, despite not being a lemon enthusiast, I found pleasantly unobtrusive.
As for my drink, I ordered a regular iced vanilla latte with almond milk. It was good and struck the perfect balance between flavor and sweetness (not too sweet). Overall, Randy's offered a delightful start to my morning, with a few minor areas for...
