Nothing worse than bringing the city food to the suburbs and then they skimp you on fries out of everything. Honest review is what I do. So Bree the cashier you can tell had a long day however I did let her know I would be doing a review and hunty they ate and I ate in that order. Delicious food, portion size perfect. They are actually getting back to the city roots presentation way cleaner than years ago. Please check them out not everyone will be pleased but I fed 3 people with this review and complete silence they smashed. Thank u Bree my entire team will be in this weekend for a big order with catfish. Young man on the grill did his thing. Little friendly advice smile a little and make sure prices match on the board with what's online vs on your flyers. Everything was off. Other than that please check them out I stopped going the last 5yrs because of the food, old grease, rude customer service and store cleanliness. I swung by Coleman’s for dinner and ordered the rib tip & Hotlink combo. I learned that there would be a 20-30 minute wait for my order similar to ordering from Harold’s or Uncle Remus. I admit I was slightly impatient waiting in my car as I was starving.

HOWEVER, the wait was absolutely worth it!!! What struck me immediately as I was picking up my order was the sheer weight of the paper bag. I was honestly having a bit of a rough day but after I took bite of the hot links & rib tips I suddenly heard songs of a gospel choir in my head as an explosion of sweet smoky flavors engulfed my taste buds. I was almost in tears of happiness as I was happily enjoying my meal of delicious & JUICY meats in my car.

I swear I damn near fell asleep in my vehicle after eating here. I can honestly say that this place will go toe-to-toe against some of the heavyweights in the city such as Leon’s bbq and not to mention Coleman’s Hot links are SIGNIFICANTLY better too. I was super excited to try this Coleman’s. I love the Coleman’s in the city of Chicago and was excited that this one is nearer to me. However, this is my second time there and I am disappointed. First, the sauce or lack thereof is an issue. I swore I would not return the first time they did this with the super ribs order. I decided that everyone needs a second chance and that I would be clear about what I wanted to help with this. Today, I asked for extra sauce and a side of sauce. This was to ensure there was enough. Neither of what I asked for or paid for occurred. Also, the tips are chewy and the sauce would help with this but of course for some reason they are rationing sauce. Is there a shortage or has the truck come in late? I was told that was the reasoning for the limited sauce the first time. Well, first time shame on you. Second time, shame on me.
