I’ve been to the one on Morris Ave and I have to say I’m blown away at the difference here. With my 2 star review I’m sure it’s clear my experience wasn’t good, but so you understand how different, here are the details.
The food tastes completely different. I had to add salt and pepper to my food. Never the case on Morris Ave.
The service was so terrible I waiting over 20 mins for our server. (There was only one other table of two at the time)
While I was talking to the server he walked away while I was mind sentence of asking to add to my order.
While ordering we weren’t given any options like we receive on Morris Ave. Examples coffee on Morris Ave they ask if you want cinnamon etc, I ordered mini empanadas Morris Ave would ask if we want chicken, beef or both.
I ordered 5 mini empanadas orders. After a while they tell me they started frying 3 orders. I told them I needed 5 orders. Why wouldn’t you tell me before you started frying the 3 orders .
On the menu it says the mini order of empanadas come with 10 per order. The server tells me it comes with 8.
I have to ask what is going on here?!?!
NEVER AGAIN!!!!
I will stick to going to Brisas...
Read moreI was looking for a snack and some coffee, and this place caught my eye, since the exterior is so colorfully designed, with a nice big enclosed patio out front. In the parking lot, I noticed a beautiful tropical mural painted on the wall and fence, very nice aesthetically. When I walked in, they had some Cumbia playing, and everyone in there was all smiles, like they were happy to be there, including the employees.. The place totally gives out a happy vibe and feels very Colombian. There’s a bakery and coffee counter with some tables in the front, but the back room is a nicely decorated colorful dining room. I ordered a pan de bono, which was fresh and chewy, and a delicious coffee, the total came to less than four dollars. Then I had a chicken in Empanada which is delicious, and it only came to $1.90! Amazing value here. Hoping to come back for a full lunch sometime soon. Definitely...

We stopped in for lunch and were happy we did. Nice place with music and a dozen tables. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner there but no alcohol until after 3pm due to the school across the street. I ordered the Columbian sampler which came with steak, chorizo, checherones and a fried egg with rice and beans and plantains! It was huge.....I should have worn sweatpants! Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My partner had the grilled chicken and shrimp which was bangin. It also had rice and beans and a salad. Cooked perfectly!! Real nice. The wait staff was very nice and took good care of all our needs. If you're in the area and hungry check this place out. Doggy bag going home...
