Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Elizabethton

Do not go here. My visit here yesterday was the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I have never left a good or bad review of a restaurant before, but the service was so bad, I wanted to prevent anyone else from experiencing it. The guy taking the order would repeat the wrong item for each item I ordered at least 1-3 times. Not sure if he thought it was funny or if he just did not care enough to listen. I don’t have high expectations for fast food but this was terrible. I ordered a foot long all American hot dog, and he repeated this back correctly the first time. I said yes. Then he said something about an all American hamburger, and I had to tell him no. Then he thought it was a different hotdog, and I had to restate myself again. I ordered a milk shake and he tried to say a Sunday. When we received our order, the hotdog was only half a foot. And one of the milkshakes was melted soup. No straws were given for this soup either, only a spoon! The order screen said “Jamison” was who delivered the food, though I am not sure if he was also the one who took or made the order. At no point was I rude to these employees either, even when he constantly did not listen to my order. Was tired of dealing with these people so we left. They did not give us a receipt, so we could not see if they charged us for for the foot hotdog we did not get the other half of. These clowns either need to be fired or get better training. We will not be visiting this...

Update: went back to this location 1/15/2025. Just having an ice cream pregnancy craving. Found not just 1 but 2 clumps of HAIR blended in the blasts! We of course asked someone to come talk to us. The guy working and running food was too stoned to figure out where we even were. Mind you he was the one who brought it out to us and then answered the button again saying "are you in the drive thru" FACE PALM. We sat there for 10 min even hollered at the guy and got ignored so drove through the drive thru told the girl at the window who kept flipping her long hair and playing with it in the kitchen that they needed to replace and clean due to wads of hair being in thier ice cream. She was nice enough. Supposed to get a refund on my card in 10 days 😒. This place really needs help. Not only better staffing but for gosh sakes they need to wear hair nets when they have long hair . That's nasty. The wait times for this location are insane and for it to not be clean is a shame.

Absolute garbage service. Last 2 times we sat for 15 min without being waited on before saying "we are backed up in drive thru its going to be a while.... when...well no theres barely anyone here! Not to mention "what can I get you?! What else. What else.... $ amount" just flat out rude. Elizabethton sure is...

"PLEASE READ" I arrived at 9:22pm at the pull up with the button to place a order after sitting over 15 minutes with no answer. I then went to the drive thru to try and get service then no one answered me at the intercom. I then drove up to the window to where you pay and get food. I see people working inside. A female worker looks at me then came out of the back door at the drive thru and started smoking. My window was down and I was speaking to my son that was in the car with me and said wow I'm unable to get service but they have time to smoke. She was extremely rude and started telling the employees inside that I needed help and told me all her duties were done she worked in the kitchen and it wasn't her problem. I then ask the guy that came to the window to get a manager. He stated that she was on the phone doing training. A female finally came to the window and asked what I wanted. I asked for 2 slushies and she stated the machine was broke. I understand that happens. I got my son a medium cherry limeade and after all that was still charged for it.
