Grooming Store Disappointment
User Took my poddle their for a grooming and was turned away, claiming she had knots. Miss Bells was scheduled 5 full 2.5 hour grooming appointment. My mini pooodle all of 9 pounds had needed a bit of brushing, but never a problem there on past appointments was turned away we she meet a groomer we have not meet before. I recently had a rather disheartening experience at a pet grooming store that I feel compelled to share. I had scheduled a full 2.5-hour grooming appointment for my beloved mini Poodle, Miss Bells, who weighs a mere 9 pounds. We have been regular customers at this store for quite some time, and in the past, grooming sessions had never posed any issues.
However, on this particular occasion, when we arrived, we were met by a groomer we had not previously encountered. I was hopeful that the experience would be as positive as it had been in the past, but unfortunately, that was not the case. To my surprise, we were turned away under the pretext that Miss Bells had knots in her fur.
While I acknowledge that Miss Bells may have needed a bit of brushing, I found it perplexing that this seemingly minor issue had never been a problem during our previous appointments. Moreover, the fact that we had specifically booked a lengthy grooming session indicated our commitment to ensuring our pet's well-being and appearance.
It is worth noting that our regular groomer, who we had grown to trust and appreciate, had left the store to pursue her own business venture. This change in personnel may have contributed to the overall disappointment we experienced during this visit. If any former employees of this store, who left recently to establish their own shop, happen to come across this review, I kindly request that they reach out to me.
It is important for pet owners to feel confident and assured when entrusting their furry companions to a grooming establishment. While I understand that businesses evolve and change, it is crucial for them to maintain the same level of care and professionalism that originally earned their customers' loyalty. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our recent visit.
I hope that the management of the store takes these concerns into consideration and works towards improving the overall experience for their customers. After all, the well-being and happiness of our beloved pets should always be a top priority.

Read moreI went to petsense today In Elizabethton to get my two dogs nails trimmed and Dremel . I was told I was 30 mins too early as the groomer hasn’t arrived yet. So I took my dogs for a 45 min walk. Came back and another dog was getting their nails done. So I browsed the store and was looking at calming items to make it easier on the groomer. My dogs don’t bite but they are nervous getting their nails trimmed. I settled in this chewable that is $1 more than on line. They no longer price match but that’s alright because I know they need to make a profit. At first I put them back because it takes 20 mins to be effective. But the groomer was still busy. So I bought the calming treats, letting them know I’ll give them their calming treats, take them for another short walk and be back. So I did that and when I returned I was told the groomer was alone and wouldn’t be doing my dogs nails. WHAT!!!! This is where I have an issue. If I was told two hours prior.... I could have gone somewhere else. I also would not have drugged my dogs to make it easier on the groomer if they were not going to be seen. And finally I wouldn’t have purchased the more expensive product from their store if it wasn’t needed that day to see the groomer.

Read moreWas in for less then 6 minutes and left after seeing what I saw I will not purchase anything from this place The picture should say plenty but since a pet store and I know it’s not just this one it’s a lot of them but I’ve never seen one this bad who in their right mind keeps a rabbit in a cage like this this was neglectful. Pitiful. And disgusting and straight up just sad if you didn’t know rabbits need at least 5 hours a day of free space to run along with separate places to use the bathroom, eat and play they don’t need bedding they need fleece blankets this rabbit couldn’t even get in it’s hide let alone get the zoomies now if I didn’t have a toddler at home I would’ve purchased it but it would’ve done no good as they’ll just fill its place not only did it have no hide to get in hardly it’s hay was turned over water thing was down to the floor any rabbit owner knows they prefer bowls this is just disgusting and sad and I truly hope yall do better none of this is aspca or spca approved or recommended not to mention the guinea pig couldn’t get in it’s hide either due to it being turned upside down and the pig...
