I am overjoyed that this restaurant found Etown! This food is outstanding, the staff is delightful and they have carved out a cute little restaurant in their location. We were very blessed to have very diverse cuisine in locations we lived previously, so though we love the area and the restaurants we frequent, we felt a definite void where Korean, Georgian and Middle Eastern places once were. So when I saw the banner go up for a Nepalese restaurant…we counted down the days!!!! And it did not disappoint! Truthfully, it FAR EXCEEDED our expectations! It’s now become our go-to dinner spot. We try and go at least 2-3 times a month, but have gone two days in a row before, it’s that good!! The menu is full of exciting dishes we aren’t used to enjoying around here. Though you may not have heard of Nepalese food before, please don’t feel intimidated. The staff is so stinking sweet, walks you through the menu and helps you pick the perfect dish. And let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed! If you aren’t sure what to get, start easy: Garlic naan, chicken korma and a mango lassi. Easy, safe…delicious. But next time, kick it up a notch with some chili chicken MoMo’s (spicy dumplings) and some vindaloo (possibly the best dish I’ve had in over a decade) or my go-to, the coconut chicken curry. 🥰 Besides the top-notch dishes, to be able to walk in somewhere and get greeted with genuine warmth and excitement, you feel like you’re amongst friends, or even family…but with much better cooking skills! We don’t even need to tell them what we want, they just ask if we’re trying anything new….and they get everything right from memory…down to the side of ketchup for my little guy’s fried rice! 😝 They are such a beautiful addition to town and we are so excited to watch them grow. Dang it…now I want some of those Boom...

If you find yourself wandering through Elizabethtown, PA, and craving some authentic Indian cuisine, look no further than Momo Shack. This charming little spot has a welcoming and warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside.
Let’s talk about the food—oh my goodness! The Chicken Tikka is a must-try. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, it’s easy to see why it’s a signature dish. Pair it with their freshly made Garlic Naan, which is served warm and just the right amount of fluffy. Seriously, it’s the perfect complement to soak up all those delicious sauces!
And if you’re in the mood for something a little different, the Chicken Korma is another standout. The flavors are rich and comforting, making it a heavenly option for a cozy meal. But don’t skip the momos! They’re touted as the best in the USA, and I couldn’t agree more. These delightful dumplings are packed with flavor and are just the right amount of chewy.
As for drinks, you can’t leave without indulging in a Mango Lassi. It’s creamy, refreshing, and oh-so-satisfying.
The service at Momo Shack is nothing short of amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that your dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. With prices ranging from $10 to $20, it’s a great spot for a delightful meal without breaking the bank.
In short, Momo Shack is a little slice of heaven in Elizabethtown. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for some incredible food and a warm atmosphere or order take out.

Read moreAs an Indian food lover, I'm estatic to have a promising place nearby. To find Momo Shack, you first enter through the vapeshop, from there, you enter the restaurant. The atmosphere is calming and you're met with a very welcoming staff. I would certainly come dine here in person.
However, I can't help but feel that I'm saddened by what I have received.
First the good, I ordered a Masala Chai, which tastes fresh, just sweet enough with a depth of spices. The problem I have is the goat biriyani I had ordered (takeout).
Upon opening, I was surprised with the portion, and I must say it was a healthy amount! Although this is where a lot of things fell short, the rice was bland, as in, lack of salt, which is a critical point of bringing out the flavors of biriyani. The amount of "plain" rice to "seasoned" rice was 6 to 1. I was essentially eating plain rice. The goat itself was an expeience, there were 5-6 pieces in there, most of it bone, and the meat that exists were grizzly and tough. On the side was provided almost 1.5 tbsp of Raita, which from my experience at other Indian restaurants, is a lot less, especially for the amount of rice there is.
Alas, I do not want to judge the potential of this restaurant based on this one dish. Biriyani is by far my most coveted and favorite Indian dish, but I will not be returning for their biriyani as I can't help but feel I wasted money since I couldn't eat half of it.
Although the dish was a 1.5/5, I see a lot of other great reviews for the other dishes. As such, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and mark it as 3/5 stars and will return again to hopefully bring...
