No idea whether the positive reviews here are from people simply not aware of what constitutes legitimately good food or people with conflicts of interest posting to prop up the restaurant artificially.
Either way, this place does not have anything CLOSE to good or acceptable food for what you pay for. We ordered $50 worth of food via DoorDash delivery (they are a mile and a half from our home by the way) and received food that was not only cold, but barely serviceable at best and inedible trash fodder at worst.
The serviceable food consisted of our appetizers of fried foods such as the mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers, which were both well overcooked and overly chewy. These apps were BLATANTLY the generic, low cost brand frozen food you can find in the Giant or Weis up the road (or any store for that matter) simply thrown into a box and upcharged to the consumer hoping they are too busy or ignorant to notice. This part of our meal was as basic and bland as one would expect and, while unappetizing, was at the very least technically edible, if not appealing or satisfying.
Not so for the fried chicken sub I ordered, which was not only unseasoned but inedible due to half of each side of the sub being rawhide like tendon and sinew that made biting into it extremely difficult let alone chewing it and swallowing it, which was impossible.
Had this at leas been edible, the portion size would have been a major let down as well, as our subs were each at least a third smaller than competitors in the area if not half the size.
For $50 we expected far more quality and quantity but, unfortunately, we received instead some of the most generic and unsatisfying food we've had in 2019 in Elizabethtown (which is saying something) including inedible portions that were simply thrown in the trash and wasted entirely - which is infuriatingly wasteful.
Nice people here but will never again give them our business - and you...
Read moreI'm calling this my new favorite 'hiding in plain sight' spot. Current owners said they've had it 3 years and I'm so glad my family and I went ahead and gave My Place a current try because the food did not disappoint. I am a stickler for great bread and the bread for my cold turkey sub and my sons fried chicken sub was soft inside with a beautiful crust to it, and tasted so fresh. My daughters chicken quesadilla was made with so much flavor and creamy cheesey goodness, not to mention loaded with chicken. My onion rings were top notch, lightly battered, and fried in fresh grease to golden crisp perfection. Service was so kind and pleasant. When you walk in, you order and then you seat yourself. I was actually blown away and think I might have even stood there a little flabbergasted when I wasn't asked by person or machine to leave a tip. Paid for just what was ordered and sat to wait for our food, which did not take long at all. The whole time we sat enjoying our meals as the only patrons of the My Place dining room, my mind kept trying to make sense of how the place wasn't packed at dinner time. About how rough the economy is, maybe that was it, tough times, and yet I had just seen that Olvie Garden is raising their menu prices a few dollars across the board, and they're still swamped, I really think it might just be that My Place is now this hiding in plain sight, delicious secret people have yet to rediscover in the area. It was our pleasure to leave behind a tip to the wonderful...
Read moreAbsolutely the worse customer service. Compared to popeyes which is as bad as it gets. I should of left the mess on the table and one of my worse regrets leaving a tip for absolutely nothing. the worse is when i left i said thanks and they simple minded person didn't even acknowledge my existence. i assume the management shares this platform because i can not imagine they would not know about how poor this person is. but after talking to my friends and students about this location its a normal thing. i will never go again and will make sure all my students and friends are well aware of the absolutely...
