On a long drive to Chicago from Alabama, we wound up here for dinner when Nashville traffic delayed us from getting to Louisville by dinner time. I'm not mad about it though! This restaurant is in a slightly more residential area, and we were a little surprised when Google Maps led us here. The parking lot is roomy enough and they have a patio area for outdoor seating. My one complaint is that it was pretty cold inside the restaurant, and that's coming from a person who runs very warm. Nbd though! We were greeted warmly upon entering and prompted as to whether we had any questions. After looking over the menu, my husband got the gyro burger and fries while I ordered the chicken shawarma and fries. The prices were pretty reasonable for two meals. I ran to the bathroom while we waited for our food and it was nice and tidy. Our food came out in a few minutes (which was great since we were in a hurry and wanted something fast but not fast food) and it was piping hot and clearly freshly prepared, including the fries. Service continued to be lovely, making sure we had all the sauces we needed, checking in on us (unexpected but very nice at an order-at-the-counter joint), and bidding us farewell and a nice night when we got up to leave. Our food was good! Hubs' gyro burger was juicy and succulent and piled high with tender and savory gyro meat and nicely melted cheese. My chicken shawarma wrap had an impressive and enjoyable blend of flavors: slightly smoky chicken, zesty and bright peppers (new to me on a gyro-type wrap - an enjoyable addition), and just enough spice to stimulate the senses. The pita was so buttery and soft, too. The fries, as mentioned, were very hot and fresh and quite well seasoned. Personally, crinkle fries are among my least favorite cuts of fries, but these were done well. I do wish the portion of fries had been slightly larger, but on the bright side, it kept my dinner more manageable which helped me stay awake on the drive! Definitely impressed with the quality of food and service. Give them a try if you find yourself in the area.

Wowwww. Let me tell you how picky I am when it comes to Kabobs, and this place did not disappoint. I came in really hoping not to be disappointed and am leaving absolutely impressed.

The pictures do not do justice to this place.

We walked in and despite the almost full house, we were warmly greeted by a very kind young lady. She cheerily let us know what our halal options were when we asked, and told us she could alter the menu to cater to our dietary preferences. We weren't ready for all those options so after patiently waiting for us to choose from their "everything looks so good" menu, she also let us know what her favorites were and took our order. She asked if it was ok if she vacuumed while we ate in another area of the restaurant and we were taken aback by her politeness and kind disposition.

It was so hard to pick a table because despite the dinner rush that had just left the restaurant, every table was spotless without even so much as a crumb on the floor. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and I felt like I was visiting someone's home. It had a fresh and clean smell, good water pressure, nothing around the faucet or toilet not even water spots. I made my way back to the table just in time for our food. We had both ordered falafel and lamb plates. The falafel were crunchy, hot and delicious and the lamb kabobs were the most moist, juicy and tender kabobs I've ever had, (I've been eating these my whole life). It wasn't spicy or over seasoned, the flavors of the meat came through and paired perfectly with the side salad. The basmati rice needs it's own sentence. All I cook is basmati rice at home, everyday and I want the recipe for this rice because it was perfect. It wasn't undercooked as so many people/restaurants end up doing to achieve length in the grains, it wasn't mushy or sticky and held it's aromatics. Portion sizes on both plates were very good and filling for us both.

To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. We're driving across country and stopped at two different restaurants before this one and left because either the service wasn't good or the place wasn't clean. After waiting 7 hours to eat a meal, it felt like we were being welcomed into someone's home as guests. I am so so happy to have found this place and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting good home style cooking in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If I could give this restaurant more than 5...

Food was ok Service was ok Atmosphere was ok…Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch while passing through Elizabethtown. I ordered the gyro salad with chicken gyro meat. Husband ordered a chicken gyro sandwich. We shared a side of traditional hummus with pita bread. The restaurant was busy, a good indicator. We were told our total and our tip suggestion of 18% and asked if we would like to customize it or keep it, very unusual. We were asked in front of all the staff, the people in line behind us, and those waiting for their order. We had not received our food, tasted it, received any service and were asked to tip before we could determine what we were tipping for. I felt like my food would be held hostage if I didn’t tip what they were suggesting. You never know if they would spit in it or who knows. When we received our hummus side, we were done using the restroom and wanted to sit outside. We asked if our table could be wiped, which the kindly did. They also brought out a roll of paper towels. Our hummus was really small and not tasty, not worth $5. My salad was small and the dressing tasted really processed, like Italian dressing from a store-bought packaged bottle not a dressing made-in-house with olive oil. The tzatziki tasted processed also, like it had mayo, didn’t taste like yogurt. Online the lunch special said you can have a sandwich and pick between fries or salad. My husband asked for salad. Later when we checked the receipt we realized we were charged extra for that. I would appreciate being able to see the screen where we are able to see prices or told of additional charges, select the tipping option in private and preferably tip at the end instead of having no transparency and lots of pressure. At the end we brought our trash, empty food baskets and forks in. Overall, I was not comfortable with...
