Hong Kong — Restaurant in Elizabethtown

Hong Kong was our go-to after a few other Chinese restaurants in town made us sick. Over the past few months, though, the quality of food has dropped drastically. Sometimes it would be better than others, but the trend was definitely downward. The rice in the sushi has been musty and old with brown/translucent avocado; the last time we got shrimp, they had already gone bad; and this past dining experience broke the camel's back because all the food was just... Bad. All of it. Rice, sushi, chicken, lo mein, egg rolls, and all. At least the food is very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in town.

I'm giving Hong Kong two stars because they were kicking butt and taking names just six months ago, but it's going to be a while before we can order from them again. THIS is, by far, THEE BEST Chinese food I've found in Kentucky!!🔥🔥🔥 At least in a TWO county area!! EVERY time I go to Etown I have to stop by here and load UP with my favorites!!🤤🤤🤤 They're super nice people on top of the GREAT food, large portions and beyond reasonable prices!! 👍😁👌 I beg them to open up a place in Bardstown because they'd make a killing as the other two places here are NOT too good!!👎🙄(And I'm being really nice in ONLY saying THAT!!😂) Hong Kong will cook TO your liking and have NO issues with omitting or adding extra of certain ingredients!!👌 And food is done super fast. What the heck is this place? CHINESE?? NO SORRY, DON'T THINK SO. I am a 46 yr old cook who has travelled the world, super foodie, and eat every cuisine possible trying them all out. I have ate pu pu platters since I was 10 yrs old. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST DISGUSTING PU PU PLATTER I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. The beef teriyaki was so dry and rubber it was impossible to bite into. First attempted bite I had to stop trying. The crab rangoons were so hard and over cooked the filling of cream cheese and crab was more like stuck on hard glue that turned a complete different consistency which I had to spit out. The chicken fingers were dry disgusting tiny small nubs. The WHOLE PU PU PLATTER WAS A DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. I WAS SO IN SHOCK THEY ALLOW COOKS TO SERVE THIS UNEDIBLE FOOD!!!
