Terrible service. They need to have the wait staff divided in sections. We were waiting 45 minutes and our food still didn't come. We watched 3 tables who arrived after our order was taken get their food, and we still never got ours. We walked out and ended up getting McDonald's because we were just so hungry. Great coffee tho
Edit to respond to the owner: that is the poorest excuse for an apology I've ever seen. You didn't even take accountability for your mistakes and tried to blame it on other customers. And when we were told our food was coming, ANOTHER 15 MINS WENT BY, thats whem we left. Almost every one of the negative reviews you have say the same things and go back over 8 months! Face it, you have serious issues with managing your staff. I may have considered giving you another opportunity, but after that BS respons, not a chance. At the very least, learn to take accountability and actually apologize for your screw up. Never ever blame customers for your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I were recently in Elk City for a couple of days and the motel we were at told us about Janice's Cafe! We ate there a couple of times because it was so good! My son loved the fresh picante they served with their breakfasts- your just don't get that in Illinois! Michael liked it so much that he wanted to take some home. At the checkout they had some jars of homemade salsa items for sale so he bought 2. It turns out he accidentally got HOT š„ Salsa!!! Ghost pepper, Serrano peppers, Carolina Reaper, etc....well it was HOT š„! I gave one jar to my friend John because I knew he liked hot stuff! Well he liked it so much he wanted more. I called Janice's Cafe and together with the local man who grew the peppers and made the salsa, they shipped a case of the hot salsa, some mild salsa and some picante sauce. What an awesome bunch of people who put this together and made this happen!!! I hope someday we'll be back to that town and we will for sure go back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a lucky food stop! We were driving across Oklahoma in mid June, and I was searching for a place to get some takeout since I had our dog in the car in 90 degree temps. When I stepped in to ask about making an order, Janice herself told me I was welcome to bring Scout inside for my meal. At first I couldnāt believe it, but Scout and I walked right through the main seating to a room in the back that we had entirely to ourselves. Janice brought water for Scout and closed a French door that separated us from the main dining area. Every server and employee was supper dog friendly, and before my omelet came Janice brought a hamburger patty that they werenāt going to serve anyone. Janiceās serves breakfast all day, and there were plenty of options to satisfy any taste and appetite. It was so nice to sit inside and have a relaxing lunch with Scout instead of eating behind the wheel. Thanks so much for the welcoming hospitality in Elk...
