i ordered a whole bunch of stuff for me and my boyfriend to have a picnic (it's national boyfriend day october 3) and he is very picky about sushi. i drove 45 minutes here and back i do wish it was closer to me but it was so worth it and i'm so thankful for that because if the drive wasn't worth it i would've been pretty upset. he only really likes sushi from one place so we only go there but the ratings here were so good i figured i'd try it out! i ended up spending $95 but i got a bunch of food and we both got decently full from it all. we started with three appetizers- octopus sokonomo- which we both liked, the shrimp tempura which had veggies too- we don't usually eat fried food but i didn't know tempura meant fried- totally my bad, but regardless it was still pretty good and it was very lightly battered so we were pleased by that. our third appetizer was the cucumber and cilantro salad which was refreshing and very healthy i surprisingly loved it even though it didn't look like much at first. then we had a bunch of maki- the angry mango which was my absolute favorite! the strawberries and mango and diced jalapeño was perfect and not too spicy!! i believe there was some type of cavier or eggs of some sort on top which i've never had but was pleasantly surprised with the texture it added. then we had the shrimp and avocado which was definitely more basic but it did taste super fresh compared to other places. then the spicy octopus maki was very yummy and not too spicy. that was one of my top favorites. the sweet potato tempura was pretty good he wasn't the biggest fan but i did really like it i just probably wouldn't get it again because- (again i didn't know tempura meant fried and that's my fault) and we ended with the salad maki. i wasn't the biggest fan at first but as i kept eating more i actually really loved it and will definitely get it again. overall we really enjoyed everything the flavors, presentation, and freshness was magnificent. my boyfriend was a little bummed out when he found out how much i spent on it all but it wasn't a big deal to me. five stars! they also do accept apple pay which is what i paid and tipped with. 5⭐

Came here for a birthday dinner on Tuesday evening. The restaurant was well lit, there is ample parking in front and the decor was welcoming. Once inside we were greeted by the staff and seated right away. The menus are clear, and there are pictures of the different selections on the walls. We got the coconut shrimp, crunchy melt, golden lobster and Chef Supreme. The coconut shrimp was crunchy, tasty and I wish there were more in the order. The crunchy melt was a surprising favorite 😍. Loved everything about the Chef Supreme, I'd gladly have it all again. Side note, I appreciate the extra dressing in my salad đŸ„—. The soup was tasty as well. Had a highball and it was delicious. The interior of the restaurant was clean, bright, welcoming and the staff were all amazing. They checked on us and made sure everything was good. Made us feel welcome. I will visit again when in the area, it was such a great experience.

A really authentic sushi house in North Chicago. We came because it was my birthday and I love sushi. This place did not disappoint. The first thing you'll notice about the menu is they have a lot of the traditional Americanized sushi rolls and a lot of very traditional Japanese style sushi as well. We ended up getting hot sake, a salad, an app, and two different kinds of sushi. Everything was fantastic. I promised our server. I would write a review and let him know how the sushi was where we substituted the shrimp for salmon and I will say it was delicious. The service was also really good. Both the servers we talked to were really friendly and kind. The chefs behind the counter greeted us both when we came in and laughed. I think this place is absolutely fantastic and one of the best sushi houses I have ever been to. Highly recommended!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The kind employees went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and at home.

The sushi itself was some of the best I've ever had. Every roll was bursting with fresh, high-quality ingredients that were expertly crafted and presented. The flavors were so complex and delicious, and I found myself savoring every single bite. I especially loved the creative specials that were on offer, which added a fun and exciting element to the meal.

But what really made this restaurant stand out to me was the exceptional service provided by the employees. They were so attentive and accommodating, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. They also took the time to answer all of my questions about the menu and provided insightful recommendations that made my dining experience even better.

Overall, I cannot recommend this sushi restaurant enough. The food is top-notch, and the kind employees truly go above and beyond to provide an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a sushi lover or just looking for a fantastic meal, this restaurant is definitely worth...
