Where should I start? First of all there were just another table reserved by clients which were about to leave, yet they set our RESERVED table for two with just one towel, two forks and one knife. Then I kindly asked for a plain salad, which was on the online menu but not on the one they gave us. The waiter said it’d be no problem for sure; I thanked him and then also ordered asparagus prosciutto. Asparagus came with a thin and almost invisible slice of prosciutto rolled at the edge of them and no salad was on the way. I asked again and he said he didn’t write in down. Handed me the menu again and, as I did asked 10 minutes earlier, I ordered a plain salad with no toppings. Instead, it came with walnuts, dried raspberries (I suppose) and fontina. As far as I managed to put it out from the salad it was ok. After that, pizzas were served: I ordered a margherita without basil and a “Manzo Italiano” pizza for my husband, both expressly not sliced, well done. Mine (margherita) came sliced, not well cooked, with “mozzarella” chunks here and there and oregano onto the tomato sauce which was not even listed on the menu ingredients. My husband’s one, so spicy (not specified on the menu as well) he couldn’t taste anything at all. I told them that mine was not what I ordered mentioning I didn’t want it sliced and also I’d like it with way more mozzarella on top and they (kindly) made it again.. it arrived same as the one they served before, just not sliced. So disappointed it makes me sad. As an italian myself, ingredients are high quality as the pizza dough, which was honestly pretty amazing, but everything else made it one of the worst...

12/17/2016: used to love this place. The second owners really made this a gem. The food was great and the atmosphere was really special for the suburbs. It recently reopened, so I went with the family. It is still a great atmosphere and great place to meet friends. The large windows and street view make it a great night out. It is no longer a place to go for the food, go to enjoy time with friends and family. The food is similar to what is served in every corner dive bar in Chicago to meet the requirements for their liquor license. The food is not expensive, not really cheap either, but the pricing is in keeping with the mixed blue-collar and professional nature of Mt. Prospect. This is no better and no worse than Mrs. P's across the tracks. Drinks are on the pricey side though.

~2011 The food and service were excellent. This place is a little tucked away, but is a great find. I refuse to eat at a mall or strip mall, and since moving to the suburbs, there does not seem to be a whole lot else. This has a real nice neighborhood feel and the food is excellent. I went with my family, but if I was younger and single, this would be a great date spot.

My wife had the best salad I ever tasted, and I really do not consider it food if it was not able to run on its own before being butchered. I had a phenomenal pizza. A lot of thought went into the preparation. This is not a ragu over kraft pasta place. The chef really made tasty dishes that were not overpowered by their weight. Good wine list and the house wines were very good too.

I can't...

I don’t usually post reviews about my experiences on restaurants but this one seems to be unforgettable. Not in a good way. We have been in this place plenty of times. They were pleasant. But tonight was different.

There was a Fall fest in Mount Prospect and this restaurant was nearby. We ordered some food and drinks. When we got our bill, we noticed that there was an extra drink charged. My friend politely asked to take it out of the bill. The server came out with an angry demeanor. I asked him if everything was alright to which he responded that my friend was “bitching” about one drink. He was being rude at this point and we asked for the manager.

The manager came out and made an excuse that the server had a “long day” and he has been working since Thursday (tonight is only Saturday). He was unapologetic until we told him that the server said my friend was “bitching” about this one drink being charged incorrectly.

This place has been in Mount Prospect for a long time. Like I mentioned, my experiences have been pleasant prior to tonight. The waitstaff seemed to have been subpar tonight.

The restaurants have been multiplying around the area. There is definitely a lot of better selection. It will be a long time until I come back to this place...

Had a wonderful evening here celebrating my daughter's birthday. This place would deserve 5 stars, however I had to deduct one because of service. It was early on a Friday evening and they still weren't that busy so there's no excuse for our table being neglected. Food was great. My 3 kids ordered the pizza and were able to go to the oven and create their masterpieces with toppings. Their pizzas came super fast and they enjoyed them. My husband and I ordered two full size pizzas and it seemed to take forever to get them. We asked twice about our order thinking maybe it got forgotten-- each time we are assured that it was coming. It seems very strange that 3 kids sized pizzas take 5 minutes to come to the table and two adult size pizzas take over 30 minutes. Aside from the extremely slow service we had a nice evening. I would recommend that you stay on top of your order and don't be afraid to give your server friendly reminders that you are hungry :)

Update! Came back to try pizza. Foraggio pizza was amazing. The crust is fantastic, truffle oil and wild mushrooms with fontina cheese are unbeatable. We ordered meat balls again and they were delicious. We stopped by for after dinner drinks. We had aperol spritz and manhattan and they were both nicely done with a generous serving of alcohol. Decided to have an appetizer and had meatballs that were yummy. Staff at the bar was really friendly and welcoming on a Friday night. Would love to come back to try main courses and pizza.
