Beautiful store, wonderful service, and croffles were so delicious!!

Me and my mother got 2 drinks and 4 croffles and the croffles are SO delicious I recommend everyone who likes sweets to try it!

It’s not too sweet either which is perfect for Asian tastebuds! I ate 4 at once and I could tell they are using healthy ingredients. I could eat more than 4 lol I looooved the croffles

As for the drinks I ordered a Rose Matcha and Yuzu Yogurt, and my mother ordered an Iced Latte and Cold Brew! The owner was very kind and gave us a large sized drink even though we ordered medium

Yuzu Yogurt tasted delicious! I’m Japanese and I looove Yuzu it has a perfect balance of sweet and sour 💖

As for the Rose Matcha here, it was the worst matcha I’ve ever had 😭 I feel bad saying it but it’s the truth and I think it’s the matcha powder that’s bad so I would love the owner to know so they can maybe change it,,, I drank one sip and tasted absolutely nothing… then I tasted rose, which was delicious! And then I started to taste the matcha and it kind of tastes like dirt,,,😅 like I think it’s unsweetened matcha powder…? But it still doesn’t taste like matcha. I have no idea what I drank 😅 I tried mixing the drink together because I thought that was why it tastes weird and it made it worse because then the taste of rose completely disappeared. Matcha drink needs a fix here but the rest are great! The matcha glaze croffle is delicious so idk what happened to the drink… I’ll probably order matcha cookie drink next time maybe that one tastes better..? Idk

As for the coffee, my mother said it is very strong. So anyone that needs strong caffeine should try the coffee here! The cold brew was so dark I was shocked lol 🤣 my mother will drink it tomorrow because she’s had enough caffeine for the day from the latte 👍🏻

Overall I give this place a 5 because the service is wonderful and croffles are delicious! Yuzu drink was amazing, it is a great cafe! The matcha drinks need a little fix in my opinion but that’s just my opinion. Rose was delicious though so I would love more rose drinks!

To say I was not only extremely disappointed but also extremely ill after this drink is a complete understatement. I was on a trip to visit my friend in mount prospect. We went in this establishment the night of 7/19/24. I ordered the oatmilk latte and my friend ordered one of their blended drinks but sub oat milk. My drink was terrible. Not even gonna lie, it tasted like someone was trying to make horchata and failed miserably with all the unnecessary cinnamon. But, me being me and on vacation and spending money I thought it was in my best interest to drink every last sip. My friend drank 1/2 of hers. Wrong idea, I should’ve tossed it immediately! My friend started feeling sick to her stomach. Not even 5 minutes later my stomach was in so much pain it ruined the rest of my vacation. Had to cancel pretty much every event we had for me to lay down, sleep, have diarrhea, puke, repeat. Drove FIVE HOURS up here to see my friend and have a good vacation just to end up laying on her couch or toilet all weekend. Went to the hospital Monday, had to cancel work until Thursday because I’m just so ill….I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET OVERTIME THIS WEEK. Just know Straw and Bubbles I am sending the health department after you and I have zero regrets taking the time to call and complain. No one deserves to go though what I went through and as a chef is hurts twice as much to see places serve expired food, whether that be accidental or purposely. Do better for your community. We are frequently in the area and so stop in often. The lady running the shop is so nice. I usually order the strawberry matcha or the coconut purple berry, depending on whether I want something milky or fruity. The croffles on offer are also tasty. I'm partial to the plain croffles - buttery and lightly sweet.

On our most recent visit, we noticed a new addition to the menu (and the wall) - an assortment of instant ramen noodles. There is also a hot water station, so you can make what you buy on site.
