I love esushi! The sushi is delicious and prices are unbeatable. They opened during the pandemic, which has got to be the worst time to open a restaurant.
When I first started ordering from here, I only had it to-go, but now I've finally had a chance to sit down in the restaurant and the experience was great. If you've ever gone to another all you can eat sushi place, many of them have terrible quality fish. Esushi on the other hand had some really great quality fish.
But don't be fooled into just the AYCE dinner (21.95) or lunch (I don't recall the price but it's cheaper than the dinner). The other food on the menu is delicious! They have a lot of food other than sushi, like appetizers, teriyaki dinners, hibachi dinners, poke bowls, udon, etc. When you order steak fried rice, you get actual steak in it. The quality and taste of everything there is so good! Even the mackerel roll, they use real mackerel, not the terrible rubber version other places serve.
Pictures are from multiple to go orders and only a couple dine in. I forgot to take more pics while eating inside. Pic of multiple sushi from left to right on top then bottom, from AYCE sushi menu: Eel, salmon, tuna, tamago (egg), Inari (tofu skin), mackerel, spicy salmon, spicy tuna. Other pictures are mochi green tea ice cream, tuna tartar, sashimi dinners, vegetable poke bowl, steak fried rice, and various other rolls and fish.
My favorites are the spicy tuna rolls, Michigan roll (basically a spicy tuna with crunchy tempura), and...
Read moreeSushi has a pretty dang good AYCE sushi (all you can eat) selection in the Mt. Prospect area. The AYCE menu itself is a bit smaller than eSushi's already diverse menu (no scallops for AYCE folks), and the rolls themselves were really high quality. I usually don't go for deep fried rolls, but the Rock and Roll was very good. The Green Turtle was very good, as well. If you like salmon, they have two rolls with torched salmon! Highly HIGHLY recommend!
If you're wanting sashimi, they DO let AYCE patrons order sashimi, but you need to order rolls, too. I wouldn't say the fish is the highest quality, but compared to other AYCE options it's still much tastier and better quality in terms of fish, variety, and price.
I didn't have to wait too long for the sushi, but I could tell that it was made to order (unlike other places where the premade sushi is dry and has less flavor). If it's a busy night, I would expect to wait a bit for a large AYCE order, but do know that it's worth it and you will leave happy. Great service, too.
My one complaint was the Nigiri. The pieces I ordered were more sushi rice than fish (the masago had the thinnest layer of masago on top of rice). But, I looked past that because their AYCE menu was so large and delicious (compared to competitors with smaller AYCE options).
All in all, it's my favorite AYCE sushi joint in the area, and I'm excited...
Read moreI’m not sure if it’s the managers rudeness that caused me to give the place a 3 star or if it’s just the sushi itself . I dined there once alone and I actually enjoyed the food . Maybe because I was without the kids and I can eat in peace 😁 . The sushi is good . Not wow but I can definitely eat there again. I went there a second time around this time with my two kids , toddler and preschooler and we were rudely approached by this tall Japanese lady who I am assuming is the manager advising us to lower our voice as we were too loud. Loud ?! 🥴A toddler and a 4 year old . The audacity on this lady . How can you run such a business being this rude ? No offense to their traditions or morals but if you are opening an authentic cultural restaurant in United States then it’s a guarantee that it’s a very diverse place and all sorts of cultural backgrounds will dine in for the experience. Kids will always be kids especially at such a young age. I recommend you assimilate to the culture here and perhaps brush up on yOur customer service skills lady . We were not even loud . People go out to restaurants for the experience and to let loose and have fun with their families . We were out to dine trying to laugh and talk and make the experience fun . How can you even run a restaurant when you order customers rudely to lower their voice . Specially...
