Pueblo Viejo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Elk Grove Township

The food was good. I went in here and I ate their burrito suizo dinner, and it was really good. What I love about it is definitely the burrito. All of it on one plate tastes good, but I definitely love the burrito the most. The burrito was huge, and it was so good. It may not be the best burrito I have ever had, but I definitely like it and I am going back here to order it again. It does not really have anything special about it. It is just basically good, with the right flavor and seasonings. I also liked the food because it was reasonably priced. This is a small restaurant that I found while I was driving, and it is a good, authentic Mexican restaurant. I have visited here in Mount Prospect. The restaurant was small. It is clean despite it being small. They have a really wide menu with a variety of options. The prices are generally reasonable and fair. The food is also quicker than I imagined. Like I said, the burrito suizo dinner I ordered was really a good one. I definitely liked it and I highly recommend the food from this restaurant. I will also recommend this cute spot to my family...

Went in at 1pm to eat in for lunch, was out by 1:45pm. Parking was pretty decent for the small plaza it is in. Restaurant is pretty good in size, bigger then what it looks from the outside. Waitress is nice and friendly. Order didn't take long to arrive and was really tasty. Variety of food as well as drink selection, including beer.

Went again little before an hour before closing, more people got there 40mins before closing. Took my parents who are kinda picky eaters. Mom wasn't too hungry and ordered corn in a cup along with a benuelo. Tried both, corn was ok but the benuelo disappointed big time. Pops ordered 2 tacos de tripa, 1 de asada and 1 al pastor....idk if they were good or not but they disappeared lol. I got a dinner plate which I enjoyed. Parents said...

My better half heard about this and as we're looking for a new Mexican restaurant and as this was local, we figured we try it out.

The environment is nothing special, but our server was very welcoming. I had 3 tacos - the pastor was quite good - but that much for the price.

My wife had spinach enchiladas which were unexpectedly too spicy - nothing on the menu indicated this. We mentioned it to our server who checked with the kitchen. She was told by the kitchen that they could make it with red sauce, but they'd have to charge us again for the entire plate.

We finished and left disappointed. I thanked our server but told her we'd never go here again and would let others know.

Pretty bad experience and a very poor response...
