I drive for Uber and pick up tons of Starbucks but have never had an experience at a Starbuck like I just did today and felt I had to report how bad they were. I got the request for a pickup 10 minutes away from the store. I got to the store and informed them that. I was there for pickup and I was told to wait at the other end on the counter which is fine. But then I waited and waited for another 15 minutes so that the customer had ordered 25 minutes ago and still no order from them. There were about six or seven other delivery drivers all waiting around too. Meanwhile over a dozen customers walked into the store and maybe dozens more through the drive-thru they all got their orders before any of us delivery drivers. I told one of the servers there that I've been waiting over 25 minutes for this order and that it was unfair to the customer that they don't have it yet. The answer I got blew me away. The server actually had the gall to say that was actually unfair to her because they're so busy. I don't know if this is a management training issue or a quality of higher issue or this person is just terrible at their job, but it shows an utter lack of respect for your online customers with that attitude. She then threw some more shade at me by saying if I didn't want to wait any longer I should just cancel the order and let some other driver get it. This person should not be working dealing with customers. Now to add salt to the wound, not only was this order extremely late, but when I delivered it to the customer they opened it up before I left and informed me not everything was in it. Every time I've ever been there (regardless of how early) they are always polite, courteous and all smiles. I love their cheerfulness! I definitely feel like this is one of their best locations. It is absolutely one with a friendly, welcoming environment - where you are treated as a person rather than a number. Read moreI have searched for a Starbucks for many years that was close to home that felt like home, my search is over with Starbucks in Elk Grove Village! Greg and his team make such delicious coffee and are always so welcoming! Greg always has a smile you can see through his eyes (since masks are required) and my girls (2 and 6) enjoy saying hello! This location even stayed open throughout the stay-at-home order to serve the Community (essential workers), how blessed and grateful we are for your service! Thank you for making my coffee the best every time no matter who is working, that is truly the best feeling especially when I drive 10 minutes each way with 2 crabby children at times lol.
