The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. Squid legs arrived fried crispy and not greasy. The agedashi tofu was piping hot and creamy.
Now for the rest. Takoyaki was not bad. Lacked enough octopus. Gyoza was deep fried- not authentic way to cook them.
We had four different types of ramen. All of the broths were weak in flavor and intensity. The toppings were added straight from the fridge or freezer - they were still cold when we bit into them despite the broth being piping hot. 👎
Now for the ambience. Everyone was really nice. As in a family owned restaurant, they bring their children. That’s ok by me but they shouldn’t be running through the kitchen screaming. It’s dangerous. This last part sealed us not returning. Some of the family came from the back to eat in the restaurant. Adults and a few children under 5. A 3-4 year old stood on a table barefoot and walked across two tables, jumping up and down. Dangerous and unclean.
There are a lot of other ramen restaurants to choose from...
Read moreSo I wasn't sure about the place as it's a little hard to find because it's not right off the main road. The food looked delicious, but at first, the place seemed to give off a bit of fast food vibe when you first walk in. However, we were seated right away. We ordered the crab ragoons and gyoza (potstickers), and the ragoons were absolutely delicious!!! I don't know if they use real crab or imitation crab, but they were delicious. Potstickers were alright, but I've had better. Chicken ramen was good, the chicken was very juicy, and the broth was good. It could've used a bit more flavor, and you can add spiciness, but I didn't know how spicy it would be, so I stuck with no spice. GET THE FISH CAKE FOR DESSERT!!! it was the best part of the meal!!! I got strawberry, and at first, it looked ordinary, but when you bite into it, it is like heaven in your mouth. It was so good, I might just go there and buy a whole bunch of them at once to keep...
Read moreMedium sized clean facility. A bit too big though for this business. It was slow when I dined in which made it seem like it was extremely empty for the size of this establishment. Staff is very friendly. First time here. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen. At first glance it looked delicious. But to my disappointment, it was only OK. I didn’t really like the noodles. It was too much like instant ramen noodles. The egg halves were really good and cooked perfect. Bamboo shoots were tasty but a bit old because the fibers were hard. I found myself picking them out of my teeth quite a bit. The broth was light but a bit bland. The chashu was a bit tough as well. I would say the bowls are too big for the serving. I found myself really digging for the rest of the noodles. Perhaps there was not enough noodles to broth ratio. I don’t recommend the Shoyu Ramen but I would like give their other menu...
