I’m happy to update/edit my review to 5 stars!! I will leave my prior comments below, to be fair to others who have had the same issue. Today I was given a full refund of the overcharges to my account, without any fuss or trouble at all. I am very pleased that my beloved dentist’s office finally helped me get our account balance straightened out. Even had Dr. Rick replace a lost filling, and resulting fracture to my tooth, today. Pain free and friendly chatter during the whole procedure. His good nature and humor made the appointment pass by quickly.

Here are the remarks from my former 3 star review: I would love to give this office a glowing five star review. The dentists here are wonderful. My family and I have been patients here for over ten years. Dr. Macasaet is kind, compassionate, highly skilled, and a wonderful dentist. Both of his children are now dentists in the practice, and they seem to be just as wonderful as Dr. Rick. However, the office billing procedures have become untenable. I’ve had to produce copies of insurance payments made that were never credited to our account. I’ve spent, literally, HOURS pulling statements and insurance paperwork to clear past billing issues up. The billing issues continue to worsen. The last time my husband was in, he was very surprised to be told that we owed the office over $900. He gladly paid, but asked for a statement so we could figure out how in the world we owed so much. After reviewing that statement, we saw that we, and our insurance, were billed twice for the same procedure. Insurance paid the proper portion for the first billing, but the entire amount of the duplicate billing remained on our account. After continued review, we now see that our insurance was billed for, and paid, for a panoramic x-ray that was not done. I have called the office repeatedly to discuss the issues, always being told “give me a few days and I’ll call you”. Those calls never come. I’ve driven to the office during normal business hours, only to find them closed. Weeks go by and the billing issues remain. At this point, the office owes us close to $1,000, but we can get no help from anyone there in resolving the issue. If the billing issues were corrected, Calvine Family Dental would definitely be a 5...

Upon my arrival, for a 7am appointment I noticed that the entire front office staff was late, which caused considerable inconvenience. disorganized. Non preparation of quality of service. There were six clients waiting at the time, and, regrettably, there was no greeting offered to any of us. with the exception of the doctor who said, be patient, my staff will assist. This lack of acknowledgment created an uncomfortable atmosphere, leading me to question the level of service being provided.

Furthermore, I was under the impression that my appointment was scheduled for a routine cleaning. Instead, I was informed that the purpose of my visit was to initiate an implant procedure. I was surprised to learn that the cost for 3d X-ray, procedure would be $700.00, a figure I had not anticipated or prepared for. The abrupt change in the nature of my appointment, combined with the lack of clarity and communication, left me feeling unsettled and dissatisfied. Where is the consultation where financial cost of service is disclosed prior to service.

I believe that exceptional service is a cornerstone of any successful practice, and it was evident to me that there were gaps in the service delivered during my visit. I hope that you will consider my feedback seriously, as it reflects a genuine interest in your practice and its operations.

I heard of this office from my uncles and cousins who have been patients at this dental office for 10+ years at least. They were very prompt and punctual for my appointment. I saw Dr. Christopher for my exam after not having been to a dentist in 6 plus years. I appreciate the no nonsense approach that he took at going over my X-rays and teeth that was easy to understand while fully addressing my concerns. I appreciate the fact that the office was not pushy to get me to do unnecessary procedures or products like other dental offices do. Prior to visiting the dentist I was really anxious about a dental office offering me add-on services that I would not be able to afford but I am relieved to say this office is honest and only recommends the treatment that is cost efficient and medically necessary.

The highlight of my visit was the dental hygienist. She was very thorough and understanding of my jaw condition which makes it difficult to keep my mouth open. She thoroughly cleaned my teeth and measured pockets without making it a painful experience. I appreciate the time she took to explain to me the importance of taking proper care of gums and cleaning my teeth. I came in with embarrassing teeth with yellow deposits under the teeth which made me feel insecure about my smile and left with clean teeth that I am no longer...
