It took 30 minutes to receive our order for (2) Smashburgers and (1) Regular Smash Fries. There were only three groups ahead of us who were dining in and it normally half the time to receive our order. And people that had mobile orders (food delivery service drivers and regular customers) that had orders ready to pick up were told that it would take another 10-15 minutes for their orders to be ready even though they received a notification that their orders were "READY". The "Manager" Ronald just did not seem to care that orders were taking longer than normal, and more paid attention to a couple of former co-workers who came in to apply for some open positions. He even gave them FREE FOOD AND SHAKES. This franchise used to be a top burger establishment, but apparently Customer Service and Food Quality is no longer a priority. We will no longer patronize this establishment and will take our business elsewhere such as The Habit and Squeezburger. When we FINALLY received our order after checking with the cashier the bun was COLD and NOT TOASTED. The cheese was not melted and tasted like it just came out of the refrigerator. The cashier "apologized" about the wait and told us that she would give us some coupons to make this right, but she never gave us any and just went on her lunch break. SO SAD ! This restaurant needs to either make some dramatic changes or they just close down permanently. If there is and option for "0" stars then this business location should...
Read moreI stopped in at 7:30 on a Thursday at the Elk Grove Ca location, to grab a quick dinner after being out of town all day. I walked in, was not greeted but was abruptly asked "do you have an online order to pick up?" I replied "No I...." and was cut off with "We`re only doing online orders, and its a 45 minute wait". So i turned and walked out, went to a close by alternative and was served within 5 minutes. Now i fully understand and sympathize current staffing issues. However there were no customers eating there and only 3 waiting on orders for pickup. I have experienced extended wait times as well. What angered me was the way I was rudely dismissed and refused service. I am a manager for customer service, all she had to say was " Im sorry we are backed up with online orders and our current wait time can be 45 minutes or more" That Simple! I would have understood and appreciated her honesty. But No, she was totally unprofessional and a bad representation of your values. I only wish i had thought to order a soda so Icould have a receipt to use as reference to the incident. Read moreWhat happened to this place? I remembered when they first opened and it was always packed with limited seating and the food was actually good. We usually do In and Out burger (which I'm NOT comparing this place to) but they were extremely packed, my husband chose this place as our 2nd option, and boy was the burger and fries disappointing . Who ever is cooking obviously can't cook , the patty was so thin it was more than well done, dry, and burnt around the edges, with four sad Jalapeños slices, pepper jack cheese topped with wilted lettuce with some type of aoili sauce between the lettuce and bun( you could at least pair the sauce with the dry patty) the burger was barely edible.( I pulled off the burnt edges).And the smash fries were flavorless and stale. My husband didn't believe me till he ate a few fries and tossed the rest back on my plate. We dumped the rest of the fries, pretty much all smash fries in the garbage. Back in the day the smashburgers were smashed yet still juicy with twice the amount of meat ,not smashed to oblivion, burnt and dry. This place will be a definite pass in our burger joint rotation.
