Terrible. I went to finalize my reservation of Black Ops last night around 10...got home and fell asleep. I went back this morning only to find that the stamp they gave me on my receipt was only good for the midnight release so they accused me of trying to steal a game. Finance wise I have no need or reason to steal a stupid video game...it's not my fault their store didn't put in a fail safe to protect against a situation like this. I have gone to this store for every midnight release since forever and they treat me like this?
The way the asian guy behind the counter talked to me, makes me wonder why I ever spent a dime here. The best part was when I said "I have no reason to steal a video game." To which the guy (Andrew) replied "that's exactly what someone who steals games would say."
Do not get treated like this. There are a million other places to buy video games...pretty much everyone has midnight releases now.
I hope that asian guy is not in charge of the store...the worst client service I have received...everyone else at that store has always been so nice. I have never even seen that asian guy before...might want to keep him behind the scenes. Zero tact or professionalism.
Thank you for taking something I was excited about and making it a horrible experience.
If you do not want the same treatment take your business else where. There are 50 Gamestops in Elk Grove and they all legally must offer the same prices. The only thing that sets them apart is customer services...which this store lacks. Or at least one...

Customer Service: Never had any direct issues with the staff at all. They're always friendly and willing to help you.
NOTE: This place can get rather busy. Especially when a new game comes out or a new console comes out. There were times I was waiting 15-20 minutes in line to be seen. Not the representatives fault. It was just a lot of customers with merchandise and questions. So you need to be patient as there is generally only 2 staffed at the counter.
Selection: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and Nintendo games. As well as multiple different consoles & accessories you can purchase.
Events: Check the the employees. Now and again they run an event to celebrate a game or console coming out and invite people to come in and join...
Read moreThe cashier "Trinity" is absolutely clueless. I came in to do a "trade in" towards a console and a couple of games.
Gamestop's website valued my trade in above $200 and the cashier Trinity told me my trade in is $80. The trade in is in excellent condition.
Do better Gamestop! I dont appreciate the profiling I received from Trinity.
Trinity needs to learn how to treat Gamestop's customers right. I am a Pro member and did not appreciate her profiling me. As soon as I got into the location she asked me if I was in a hurry. Horrible customer service.
Trinity needs to go through "training" for...
