SwitchGear Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Elkhart Lake

I had a surprise birthday party for my husband last weekend in SwitchGears event room. It was fantastic! Dustin and Ryan were both awesome to work with.The room was the perfect size and was set up very nicely. Our guests really enjoyed the Pontoon Pounder beer! We had food catered in which worked great with the tables they had set up ahead of time for us. We were given plenty of time to decorate before our party. Ryan was especially helpful with pictures and his great hospitality! I highly recommend SwitchGear for your next event! You will not be disappointed. We are so happy to have had our event there : )

SwitchGear is a fantastic little Brewery on the edge of Elkhart Lake WI. They had 17 beers on tap when I last stopped in, 14 of them are theirs with 3 guest taps. They have a great variety even with the barrel aged off tap....but they did have it in cans to go! The beer tender and the owner were awesome. They have a few rooms and an outdoor space for your crew to gather in or sit at the bar and start planning for your second flight. I had never tried their beer and this place was better than I expected for a small brewery. I walked out with both bourbon barrels, a crowler, and their homemade beer...

Stopped here the other weekend and had a great experience. The snubbed nose monkey on draft was particularly excellent, and the jalapeño watermelon blonde was fun too.

However I just want you folks at switchgear to know that I picked up a 6 pack of the snubnose monkey and every can was very oxidized, tasted nothing like what I had on draft, and had to pour them down the drain.

I’ll return in the future, but I won’t be buying any packaged beer because it’s not worth...
