Brown Baer — Restaurant in Elkhart Lake

Worst thing I have ever witnessed. Walked to Brown Baer with a group of adults and watched the bouncer first turn away a 30 year old woman showing her passport at the door (who doesn’t have a drivers license because she’s legally blind and can’t drive), as her fiance tried to ask about it he turned to leave and the bouncer shoved him down the flight of outside stairs into a group of people, knocking a woman down and hitting her head on the concrete. Absolutely disgusting behavior and he should be at least fired considering the man did not press charges. As a vacation home owner of Elkhart lake I will definitely be spreading the word on not visiting this...

This is a unique place with a lot of charm. They serve some unique food options that I appreciate. I enjoy the chicken sandwich, Brussels sprouts, and corn bread. The burger is also really great. Their beer options are decent. They also have dart boards (major plus for me), pool table, and pin ball machines.

The unique atmosphere comes from a variety of qualities. They have swings you can sit in, hula hoops if that's your thing, and a hodge-podge decor that is endearing.

Very cool bar - Darts, Pool, Games. FOOD.

The food was so good. I thought it was a bit pricey until my plate hit the bar top. Worth every dime... I think my plate was $12-$14 and the portion was pretty big but the quality was more like a fine dining place.

The bartender wasn't really anything to write home about - but she wasn't downright rude either - you could just tell she was over serving tourists and our questions about the area - just hurry and get your drink order in! Haha - if she is making the food all is forgiven :)

Cant go to Elkhart Lake area without having dinner...
