Sept. 18 2023 Been in the area for 15 or more years and have never tried Larduccis, place didn’t look like much and has limited seating if any. Coming from the Chicagoland area we’ve been spoiled with excellent pizza pretty much anywhere you go. After trying most of the pizza joints in the nearby counties, we just hadn’t found any real good pizza. This place came recommended by someone whose taste in food I respect, we stopped in last night. Service was great, when we ordered he gave us a time when it would be ready. We were a couple minutes late and the pizza was waiting for us when I walked in. The only negative I had was we had to smell it’s deliciousness all 15 minutes heading home. We ordered the Larducci and were not disappointed, the sauce was amazing and there were so many toppings you couldn’t see the pizza. After the first bite we both looked at each other and knew our search for great pizza was over. Wow I had to make myself stop eating, every time we walked by we’d grab another piece. We ordered a large because my wife likes leftover pizza and we still had plenty left. I normally don’t like cold pizza or reheated pizza but I just had to try it today. I put a couple slices topside down in a skillet on high for 2 or 3 minutes and flipped it over for another 3 or 4 minutes. Wow, it was just as good as last night, so good that my wife might have to fight me for the rest of it. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and will recommend it highly. Can’t...
Read moreThe pizza is very good. I save a 5 star rating for out of this world good. Let me give a more detailed review. APEARANCE 5 QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS 5+ AMOUNT OF TOPPING 4 CRUST 4 SAUCE 4+ SERVICE 5 this is a very good pizza and would have considered 5 stars had the crust been crispier. They bake the pizzas in a convier belt oven instead of the standard pizza oven therefore the crust does not get as crispy as it would if it were being packed right on the oven floor as in a standard pizza oven. This crust is an extreamly thin crust so had it been crispy this pizza would have been out of this world but as it was the crust was sauggy. I would have liked a bit more cheese on the pizza but the sauce is tasty and in my opinion it has just the right amount on it (some people may say there is too much). I ordered sausage, mushrooms, and green pepper and the veggies were fresh. the mushrooms were whole mushrooms which I enjoyed. The price was value for the quality you get. I ordered an 18" and it was $20. service great the owner is very personable. The building could sprucing up but it doesn't have a dining room so atmosphere is not really required for carry out. If you are ordering pizza in the Elkhorn area you won't...
Read moreHaving spent a lot of time in the area for the last year or so, I’ve been disappointed with every single pizza place recommended by locals. I won’t name them, but let’s just say that in Elkhorn and surrounding towns I’ve tried double digits worth of pizza joints and they ranged from mediocre to downright inedible, blown away by Quik Trip take n bake, pretty sad. That losing streak was broken last night by Larducci’s. Ordered a simple sausage and mushroom and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, with big fresh mushrooms and sausage that tasted home made, very thin crust underneath with a nice slightly charred 1” crust roll around the outside, my favorite part. The worst part about most of the other pies I’ve consumed in the area was the overly sweet, bland sauce - none of that here, it was proper, tangy, tasty pizza sauce and installed in the correct quantity. We were a little early picking it up and the guy was nice enough to bring it right out to the car when it was done. Passed its final test with flying colors too - cold for breakfast! Most definitely will be back and looking forward to trying some of their special pizzas....
