Coffee House Diner — Restaurant in Elkin

Me & my hubby would honestly would rate this place NO STARS and this is why ... we had an awful experience there a nasty waitress that didn't even bother to wash your hands after wiping her nose repeatedly and top blow her nose. We didn't notice until we was half way done with our meal that's when we STOPPED eating. She swore up and down she washed her hands but me and my hubby both sat there and watched her wipe her nose then starting to touch everything like register, stuff around the register then grab her purse then went around the kitchen turn around and came back to went to the drink station fix someone a drink and grab them a straw and napkin. When we confronted her for what we saw she swore up and down she wash her hands but she didn't really now that is disgusting. In other words I would like to talk to the manager face to face to make sure he or she is aware of what's going on while they not there and again never once washed her hands and she had NO REPECT and she started beginning to yell across...

I rarely have a negative comment , however this time it's truly deserving.. as we walked in we just stood there while a server was texting on her phone. Finally I asked if we should seat ourselves..her response was yeah..and she sounded annoyed her texting was interrupted. She finally comes to our table and just tossed our menus on to the table leaving us to reach for them. I ordered lemon with my tea but didn't get it. After two additional requests she finally just tossed packets of crystalized lemon. I was never told they didn't have real lemons.. the food was horrible. The bacon was burnt , the scrambled eggs were brown where they caught while cooking, the club sandwich was pathetic. We paid for the disgusting food and left without having finished eating. If you’re looking at reviews trying to decide if you want to eat here DONT! Me my boyfriend and grandparents went in for lunch today. The waitress comes to take our orders and the entire time she rushed us and was extremely extremely rude!! The food was great. Fresh and hot the service on the other hand was down right awful. My grandpa has misheard the total while paying and when she corrected him was was completely nasty and disrespectful demanding he get a receipt because “he didn’t believe her” after he had just agreed and gave her the correct amount as we are leaving the parking lot this lady comes outside screaming and cussing calling us white trash because she doesn’t believe her tip good enough after she was rude the whole time we was in the store! Give or take don’t come here they are...
