Cook Out — Restaurant in Elkin

Again & again , burgers taste like and look like they have been sitting for awhile the chicken, bacon. It’s all pre-cooked and sits to long not fresh . Oh and it’s like this most of the time it is hotter at lunch but still messy . And soggy french fry’s. And onion rings . It seems like everything at this cook out is old and they don’t listen to your order and fill your drinks to the top and when you put a straw in your drink it’s all over you and your shirt. The window employees talk nice when on the speaker taking your order , but at the window very tart . I get the feeling they are happy with mgt or pay. But messing with the food . Not good. Soggy and not hot food. At least in Elkin. Nc cookout. But up in N.Wilkesboro next to Walmart is always hot food . and friendly Employees. Before leaving the Drive through check your order. And see . I gave the place a five-star to start with. I have since moved it down one star. The reason behind that is a few times we've been there this food was not as good as it was when they first opened. We've been experienced at least once we got home to open the food up and things were over cooked and Soggy such as french fries even the corn dog had a very soggy feel to it like it set and not hot enough oil waiting for the world to get hot enough and cook and that's resulted in a soggy / oily feel. I never had an issue with the staff on the outside the place seems clean and definitely they keep busy about 75% I will say there was one time they forgot something of ours actually two things and they were more than happy to replace him whenever we came back through and they apologize for the mishap. Every restaurant has its bad moments and I think like every other restaurant they have theirs but a majority of time everything is good we keep going...

There is a guy named mitch there who quite possibly could be the rudest person I've ever met in my life. Not to mention cookout has uped their prices more than gas companys which is very sad in a country where many people need help right now. I remember when cookout treys were 3.99 and they are scre** their own customers during a time everyone should be helping. I wish everyobe would stop eating here and show them this isn't how we treat peoplw in elkin nc . Btw chick fila only raised their prices less than .50 cent and others haven't raised theirs

Also very happy to see that elkin is one of the worst rated cookouts within a hour and haof drive Scre* people over money and be mean like mitch in a small town u want last long cookout.
