Dreez — Restaurant in Elko

I visited Dreez about 7 years ago and couldn't remember what I had ordered, but remembered it was awesome. Nothing on the menu rang a bell, so I ordered the Jersey Shore - an odd combination of deli-sliced beef and turkey breast, little pepperoni rings, pepperoncini, tomato, provolone cheese and a Greek sauce on toasted sourdough. Odd as it sounds, somehow it really worked and was very good. And I added mustard to it. But at $14 I figured it would be on those big pieces of sourdough where you eat half and take the other half home. NOPE! It was little slices of sourdough you would get from a loaf from Walmart. Now let me back up a tad. Entering the restaurant there were about 12 people waiting to be seated and, after looking around, saw there were many empty and cleaned tables. But I gave my name, sat, and began reading my ever-present time-killing book. For ten minutes, no one was seated. The group of 4 next to me had had enough and got up and walked out. A forceful lady in the party of three ran down a waitress and asked what was going on. Wow! The two waitresses looked over at all of us as if we had just appeared out of thin air. Amazingly they found tables for all of us, with several left over for any newbies walking in the door. After my sandwich was served, I had to ASK for napkins and silverware. Got the napkins and NO silverware. Dreez used to be a top-notch little cafe and I spread the word to anyone going to Elko to try them out. I won't be anymore and I doubt I will go back myself. High prices. Attempted to try dreez again after receiving a response that they were addressing the concerns. Waitress was disrespectful and became irritated when I ordered my eggs over medium and asked that the eggs not have runny whites. As she left in a huff, she went rob the computer to put our order in and pointed out direction as she spoke with her coworker angrily. Her coworker then looked at us and gave a disrespectful look. When our order came, the eggs were cooked to a crispy dark brown and completely overcooked. She did not bring one of the items of our order and never returned until everyone in our group had finished. When we went to pay a comment was made about the item not being on the bill, and the tall blonde guy with the tattoo was highly disrespectful as well. He rolled his eyes when asked about the item and gruffly stated it was removed. He continued his disrespectful manner the rest of the time we were at the counter. During this difficult time of COVID restrictions, this is absolutely not the type of customer service one would expect from an establishment that should be trying to keep their doors open, especially in our small community where word of mouth travels so quickly. We got there about 1 hour before they closed and I asked if they were still taking people and the nice young host said yes. It was 6 of us and we were waiting on one person to park so we can get seated. We then hear an older woman with red hair complaining about our party which I understand but I asked before just incase… we got sat down by the nice host and when our server came she rushed us so so bad. I get it it’s an hour before closing but again I had asked if a party of 6 was ok??? She gave us our food and never came back, we tried getting her attention for refills and napkins and it felt like she was avoiding us. Never got our mimosas either. It honestly just sucked because my boyfriend and I love going there and we took my siblings who were visiting us! We had to ask for the check and Our server didn’t come back to check us out so we headed up front because it was 1:50 and wanted to get out of their hair by 2pm.
