On my way home back to Rhode Island from the Bar Harbor area, by chance we stopped by this place based off discovering it through reviews. We were not disappointed. My wife and I’s friend sneakily paid for our coffees but I figured she’d pull a stunt like that so I waited to order the cookies (incredible) and tomato focaccia (drool worthy) until our friend started walking out. Unfortunately my debit card’s chip just wasn’t working. The woman (I’m assuming owner) behind the counter said “oh don’t worry about it! It’s on the house. I know you have a little one in the car. Safe travels back home.” I was floored by the kindness and generosity. I mean I had 3 cookies and a big hunk of focaccia. I pulled out another card and paid that way but her kindness and understanding and patience was incredible. Knowing that there’s a chance I may not be back again (she knew I was traveling home to Rhode Island) and still willing to offer to cover our snacks… her kindness shown is enough for the 5 star review. Fortunately the quality of the coffee, the incredible cookies, and mouth watering focaccia also hold up to a 5 star review on its own merit. Thank you to these incredible people. Be sure to go out of your way and support this incredible business. You won’t be disappointed. Now I’ll make it a point to stop by should I ever visit the area again, and will definitely be buying a bag of...
Read moreA cute little grab-and-go coffee place run by very kind and friendly people. Fair warning, there is no seating, it is a very small place. They also had a matcha latte available in addition to coffee, which I ended up getting, and it was delicious with a touch of their homemade vanilla syrup. Parking is non-existent, so you have to just park on the side of a narrow road, but it tends to be a fairly quiet road and they are quick with making their drinks, so it doesn’t end up being a big deal. Oh, one more thing - you MUST get one of their giant homemade salted chocolate chip cookies on the way out. That deliciously perfect cookie was one of the best desserts that I...
Read moreLove the Update: we still love visiting our favorite coffee shop in town. Maggie and Bill are great and we love Maggie's added treats. They're constantly adding things and changing a bit to keep up with their rapid growth. We love seeing how busy they've gotten and visiting them at the local markets. If you haven't gotten down there be sure to, and absolutely grab a treat from the case! Love the coffee and the owners. Great place to get your coffee for the week or the day, and if you're lucky a yummy homemade treat! Also, their zero emissions roasting is done in house,...
