If I could give 0 stars I would. During a post funeral luncheon I was at we had two wheelchair bound people who were direct family members to the dearly departed. First of all, when we got there the whole thing was set up UPSTAIRS!! There’s no way to get up there for wheelchairs! How is that gonna happen?! So one of the granddaughters tells the manager Scott and the Scott is SO RUDE!!! He REFUSED to move everything downstairs and REFUSED TO SERVE US. So the manager proceeded to be CONDESCENDING AND RUDE while the she moved the food downstairs so the whole family was able to eat. NO HELP FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!! The granddaughter left a bad review on Facebook and the manager proceeded to CALL HER JOB AND BASH HER TRYING TO GET HER FIRED. Luckily her manager saw right through it. And on the review one of the other main people at this place Marie or something COMMENTED ON HER BAD REVIEW SHAMING THE GRANDDAUGHTER!! The comment was along the lines of shame on you for writing this bad review about us and your experience here (trying to make it seem like the granddaughter was making the whole luncheon about herself or something but you could see right through it). SHAME ON THIS PLACE FOR NOT ACCOMMODATING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND REFUSING TO DO THEIR JOB!!!!

Read moreAfter several items were unavailable, including cheesesteaks on cheesesteak night at 6:30 pm, we ordered and waited for 40 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant with a dog barking incessantly. We kindly asked for our food to go at that point, only to get it home and discover a “toasted “panini with fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and pesto” that was actually on an untoasted hoagie roll with a few sliced regular tomatoes, no “fresh” mozzarella and a few sparse pieces of black bad spinach. The mango chicken salad was a wet pile of mush that looked like tuna fish and the chicken Caesar wrap came on a hoagie roll with unedible charred chicken. To top it off, we were told the prices have increased from what was on the menu, but we were already there and hungry. Over $50 for 3 meals we literally looked at and threw away. We have tried to support this business on multiple occasions and often leave frustrated. Tonight was the last time we can justify supporting local and literally being taken full advantage of. I rarely post negative reviews because I understand the value of reviews, but we truly felt if we had called, nobody would’ve cared and this was really over the...
Read moreThe new Dodge market was taken over some years ago by this very eclectic gentleman. The building goes back to the early 1800's. I remember when it was a cheese market where you could buy cheeses from all over the world. Even then people would bring their own wine because of the wonderful ambience. They have recently made a complete renovation of the porch and the wonderfully eclectic interior that is very compatible with the 1800's era. They are also covid19 compliant. They have a wonderful menu that has daily specials. They stay very close to their eclectic roots with the menu including wonderful sandwiches, fondue's, soup, and desserts which show a great deal of imagination. Their sandwiches including breakfast are made with the best homemade breads available. It is accessible from the major route 55. It takes about 10 minutes from the route 55 exit of route 40, or 35 minutes from the Delaware memorial bridge again using route 40. The service is very good. The owner is always on the property to make sure that guests are treated with the greatest...
