Came to Ely and now, after a long day of shopping, walking, sight-seeing, and other activities, you want a place to unwind? Someplace to throw some darts, hit some pool balls, or try your luck with pulltabs? Then Dee's is your place! Whether it's the absolutely amazing service by the staff (Be sure to say hi to Mike if you see him!) Or the multiple colour TVs in the place. It's the spot for regulars and newcomers alike. Go out back for a smoke or enjoy some jukebox tunes! Dee's has everything you need while maintaining a chill and relaxing setting. Very easy on the eyes!

The only reason I have a star off is because the bathrooms don't have stall doors, so no one is sleeping off a hangover, but also gets you a bit too cramped...

Love Dee's bar! Long time establishment in Ely MN with great family history and ownership. Has hosted fantastic bands to dance and listen to for years with local MN favorites to new upcoming talent from elsewhere. Always a good time at Dee's! I've been asked for an update: Still a pleasant place to stop in as a regular or a tourist any time of day during open hours. I believe this is the oldest bar left in Ely now, still open. Lot's of family history. 😃

The owner of this bar is the most impersonal, unprofessional, rude lady you’ll ever meet. There’s a group of 10-12 of us who come through annually and she’s rude every time we have interactions with her. Today we tried making conversation and she said she don’t care where we are from because we are all tourists and it don’t matter. Her bartenders are inexperienced and not knowledgeable about drinks, but pleasant. There’s music, pool tables, and darts, but there isn’t any room to play any of them. We decided today that we won’t be coming back to this rude lady’s bar in the future. And she don’t care, she has...
