I had a deeply concerning experience at the Chick-fil-A located off Exit 283 on I-75 South. Despite Chick-fil-A’s reputation for quality service and cleanliness, this particular establishment consistently demonstrates unacceptable food safety practices and troubling customer service behavior.
On numerous occasions—including today—I have deliberately opted not to request sauces with my order due to repeated incidents of sauce packets being placed directly on top of open food items, specifically French fries. This is not simply a matter of inconvenience. It represents a probable violation of health and sanitation protocols. According to the FDA Food Code Section 3-302.11, food must be protected from contamination during storage and service, which includes ensuring that non-food items (such as condiment packaging touched by bare hands) do not contact ready-to-eat foods. Placing handled sauce packets on exposed fries clearly breaches this standard and raises serious concerns about cross-contamination and hand hygiene compliance.
Additionally, I was served a beverage in a cup that appeared to be partially consumed. There was no label with my name, and the drive-thru employee—who handed it to me without verification—did not demonstrate any procedural diligence. The manager’s response to these serious concerns was apathetic, barely masking indifference, and certainly not reflective of Chick-fil-A’s brand values.
Frankly, I am alarmed by the lack of operational oversight and basic food handling standards. The leadership at this location appears disengaged, and the handling of food behind the counter was disturbingly careless. Given the public health implications, I strongly advise that this location be inspected and brought into alignment with all applicable food safety regulations immediately.
For travelers passing through, I implore you: avoid the Chick-fil-A at Exit 283. If you’re looking for a quick bite, this is not the stop—it may leave you with more than just disappointment. It could...
Read moreI can guarantee they will consistently mess up my order EVERY SINGLE TIME. I literally have trust issues with every store and drive through because of this place and will not pull off u til I check everything which usually means upsetting the folks in back of em for holding up on the line. But it better than getting to my destination and realizing I'm missing something. There's literally never been a time they got my order right but I have to give myself some blame because I keep going back. It's the closest one to my house (but still kinda far) and my kids love the place so I always end up going even though I can guarantee I'll be annoyed. There was one time we got home and there was no chicken in the chicken sandwich. Like seriously how did someone manage to wrap that up without chicken!!!! What really drives me nuts is when they read the order back to you and verbally confirm EVERYTHING you said only to still not give what was said and confirmed. It's gotten to the point where I just tell my kids you're getting a classic chicken sandwich nuggets meal and nothing else because of I dare include one revision or something else, the order is surely going to be messed up. I don't know why this ONE location ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS had issues. I've gotten so many of those cards where you can get a free item because of the times they messed up but I wish they understood I don't care about the free items, I'm cool with paying vs getting your sorry I messed up coupons to come back and be aggravated again anyway, just give me...
Read moreInsanely busy during my visit to this location today but what was mind boggling is that they only had one register open during a lunch rush. I forgot to order a milkshake for my son and asked to add it to my order and they actually expected me to get back in line (the same one I stood in for 14 minutes before ordering) which was now even longer than before to do so. I don’t think so! (The girl was quite rude about it, which I’ve never experienced at this fast food chain and not like it matters but they lost the sale of a milkshake by expecting me to wait even longer than I did for my food and her attitude about it) Lastly, I ordered the southwest chicken salad, of which I’ve been eating for years because it used to be amazing. Not today; I actually had to ask for cheese because you couldn’t even see any on it. Same goes for the black bean and corn relish but I had already waited almost twenty minutes for my meal along with the requested cheese, and I wasn’t waiting any longer. I am going to alert management about my poor experience and lacking quality because there is no way for them to actually converse with me about it via review responses. But as you can see from the picture, hardly any cheese and it looks like it’s missing the black bean and corn relish altogether! The cup of cheese is what I had to ask for after receiving my order. It’s hard to mess up a salad but this one certainly missed the mark today. I can’t believe I paid almost $10.00 for it when they used to be around $7.00 and were...
