Open from 11am to 10pm, every day, plenty of time to get a little something to eat that always makes you feel better - PIZZA! Takes cash or credit cards. Ok, I went to Marco's Pizza to order a pizza to-go, parking was a breeze. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Upon my arrival I noticed a couple of Specials. The one that caught my eye offered an Extra Large pizza with 2 toppings for $12.99, can't beat that! I was looking for a extra-thin, extra crispy, crust. No problem. They immediately offered to take a large dough ball and rolled out to an extra large size. I appreciated that verses the ole agentic response of “sorry, but store policy is that we can't do that!”. [Side Note: Though I think I might ask for a medium rolled-out to an extra large size next time. That would be at my own risk, since that's really be pushing the limits of the dough]
The toppings were identifiable (no mystery meat), tasty and distribute evenly across the top of the pie. Even though we ordered extra thin/crispy crust, the pie was not to dry - nor was it greasy. Not quite the quality of specialty pizza, but nice for your typical pie.
Okay, now the bad - The place was empty except for the 2 or 3 employees. Think it was around 2:30pm. Not exactly rush time, no reason for a bunch of cups, et cetera, to be piled up by the soda machine and just about every table had puddles of condensation from glasses. One person, a bottle of spray, a cloth and 8 minutes or so and I would have come away with a much better feeling. Four stars because 2 of my 5 * pizzerias have recently gone out of business. Comparing Marco's to other mass market pizzerias like Pizza Hut, Papa John's (+ other National brands), they get a 4. Otherwise, my review would be 3 stars. I wish more owners, or more importantly employees, would realize that when patrons notice little things upfront, they have to wonder - what is it like were I can't see? BTW - This even extends to the restrooms. Give a thumbs up below if you liked this review. Trying to write reviews that users...
Read moreMarcos was once the unrivaled destination for high-quality, fast, and consistently excellent pizza—my go-to spot every Friday night for over a year. The staff was reliably efficient, answering calls promptly without leaving customers on hold or disconnected after a lengthy wait. However, my experience has drastically declined over the past two months. Every order has been problematic: from receiving incorrect items to enduring extended waits—even when arriving 15 minutes past the estimated 45 minutes to an hour. Upon pickup, I waited an additional 30 minutes inside as a lone cashier serviced a queue of customers ahead of me. When I finally received my pizza, it was cold, missing toppings, and unevenly sliced.
My patience reached its limit on my last visit. I arrived at the drive-through again later then quoted time, paying with a credit card, and tipping in cash, then the attendant shut the window, leaving me unnoticed for 10 minutes while tending to phone calls. With the line growing behind me, my only recourse was to call the restaurant myself—a call answered by being placed on hold as I sat mere feet away from the clueless staff. Eventually acknowledged, I was initially told my pizza wasn't ready; however, a quick double-check revealed it was indeed sitting there all along. Another substantial wait ensued before I had to remind them to return my credit card.
I understand everyone has off days and that business can boom during peak seasons. What truly disheartened me—as someone within the industry who rarely writes reviews and is lenient with judgments—was the apparent apathy of the staff. I would now willingly pay more elsewhere to avoid the chaos this...
Read moreThe pizza is tasty, I can’t say anything about other food because we did not receive the entirety of our order. This location is in dire need of an efficient management team. The staff was overwhelmed with in-person and takeout orders. The phone was ringing off the hook. There was no one cleaning tables and the trash bins were overflowing. We ordered 2 large pizzas, a salad and 4 beers. Out of the 4 beer options offered, only 2 were available. The pizzas were brought to our table one at a time; the salad was never delivered, after asking for it twice. When we asked for a refund, the counter staff did not how to initiate the transaction. (We had paid by credit card). After a 20 minute wait, and being ignored by the staff who said they had to tend to the other customers, we left, without a refund. It’s sad how what was once a thriving business is quickly spiraling down due to management...
