So how many Freddy's staff members are required to wait on one customer at the counter? Two staff members and both named dumb and dumber. Mind you...the restaurant only had 3 tables filled and no customers at the counter.
Disappointingly poor customer service is the pattern being noticed at Freddy's Enid, Oklahoma location more and more. Just wanted to buy a custard cake for a birthday and be on my way. Dumber aka Jadyn stood at the register with a glazed look and mumbled sheepishly, "Can I help you?", after I placed the frozen cake and cookie directly in front of her. Was told a total amount for the purchase.
Then told that amount wasn't the correct amount because she had not rung both items. All the while seeing me fill out a personal check. Then told the correct amount for both items.Handed the personal check to the staff member. A complete blank stare both at the check and at me. Then Dumber mumbles something about "not knowing what to do" and walks away.
The second staff member appears and abruptly informs me, "We don't accept checks!". Only someone named Dumb would be so rude. I paused for a moment looking for signage indicting that personal checks are not accepted. No signage seen at the register, on the walls or at the entrance doors. Handed over my American Express and FINALLY could get a simple 2 item transaction completed.
Was I offered a sack to more easily carry my frozen cake? Of course not, practically had to beg for that.
Dumb (possibly a shift manager?) seemed to show by her voice and body stance that she was annoyed with me at having to be called to the transaction. All the while having reminded me twice, "WE DON'T TAKE CHECKS". Yes, I will remember that point when I patronize other businesses and not Freddy's with my cash, personal checks or credit cards.
Consider placing appropriate, "No Checks", signage in the business. Consider better customer service training for register staff members so they can inform a customer their business doesn't accept checks. Instead of standing there watching a customer fill out a check completely and then seek help when they have NO CLUE how to process a check into the register. Consider that this kind of poor service causes a customer like me to go elsewhere.

But for what you would normally expect, this particular place goes above and beyond a fast food joint run by a bunch of teenaged and part time employees. Cameron was the manager on staff and Ivan was the main register and they both did phenomenal. I was a little concerned when a large activity bus full of teenagers pulled up at the same time we did, but the staff didn’t skip a beat. They were kind and courteous to the customers already seated and eating while attending to the large and immediate crowd that gathered. Everyone in the back just kept on working and smiling and I believe that credit goes to these two guys in the front who just drove the momentum and energy. Once the line finally stopped and everyone sat down to eat, Ivan specifically went to each table and made sure everyone was well taken care of. The atmosphere was great background music not too loud can enjoy nice conversation while waiting for your meal. We placed our order, I ordered a cheeseburger made with mayo lettuce tomatoes and grilled onions. We waited about 15 minutes or so then our number was called, anticipating what my Burger was going to taste like my mouth was already watering, well needless to say I didn't get my grilled onions however the French fries were delicious they cut them so thin OMG I loved them. I wasn't going to mention anything about not getting my grilled onions on my Burger but I did not sure if I spoke to the manager or not but she graciously apologized and handed me a complimentary combo meal on my next visit.
