I work night shifts, so I often find myself passing by Del Taco between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM. Every single night, without fail, the drive-thru is packed with cars lined up, which says a lot about how popular this location is even during the toughest hours.
Tonight I decided to stop, and the experience really stood out to me. Jesus was working that shift, and from the very start, I could tell how efficient and professional he was. He greeted me with kindness apologized for the wait and had a great attitude, even though the line was long and it was just him and one other person.
While waiting, I noticed the driver in front of me was extremely impatient. I overheard him while he was ordering. He was short and clearly was not happy that there had to be a wait. Even after that, Jesus stayed calm, professional, and polite. The driver couldnât even wait for his food. He got frustrated, peeled out of the drive thru, and left. Through it all though Jesus didnât let it shake him. He kept it pushing, stayed respectful, and moved right on to getting our out.
As someone who manages and runs a restaurant myself, I understand how stressful it can get when youâre understaffed and dealing with high-paced traffic, especially during rushes. It takes a lot to handle that kind of pressure with professionalism and positivity. Jesus showed patience, hustle, and great customer service, even when others werenât treating him kindly.
I left that night with a lot of respect for him. Jesus deserves recognition for his hard work and positive attitude. He really went above and beyond to make the...
Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & HORRIBLE ATTITUDES!!! Alicamari is the name on my receipt so I'm assuming she is the extremely rude worker who finally rung up my order. She acted like she didn't even want to deal with me at all, she kept walking away from me & was getting an attitude about answering my questions when I asked her "what does the macho burrito have in it? " & "what does the cali guacamole steak burrito have in it?", "does that have potatoes?" "Can it be made without potatoes or can the macho burrito be made with steak? " so I basically asked about 4 questions which took more than 10 or 15 minutes because she kept walking away & seemed frustrated with me for asking questions about the food. I trooped asking another worker one of the times that Alicamari walked away & stayed gone a while but the other worker said I had to wait for Alicamari to answer my question. When I finally asked her the last question I let the man behind me order before me then I was font to order but she took his order & immediately disappeared again, this time was gone even longer, until I addled the other worker if I could please order them had to wait for Alicamari to return again. Bottom line is that it took 10 times longer to order my food than it would have if she would've just stayed to answer my questions & take my order & she was extremely rude about the entire thing! If I didn't already but food for my friends who were already eating there & I would've been alone I definitely would have simply left. Either way I will NOT be returning to that Del Taco...
Read moreI must say, I was quite disappointed with my recent experience at Del Taco on South LVBLVD. Wow, I donât remember any Del Taco taking 15 minutes in the drive-thru. As I write this with two cars in front of me, itâs taking way too long. The staff didnât seem prepared for the morning rush, which is surprising considering itâs the busiest time of the day for most people to grab a quick bite on their way to work.
The food was mediocre at best. With such a long wait, one would expect the food to be fresh and delicious, but it was just meh. If youâre in a time crunch, I would definitely recommend passing on this location because you wonât make it to your destination on time.
Overall, I was not impressed with the service or the quality of the food at this Del Taco. I hope they can improve their efficiency and food quality...
