Response to owner's comments: I deleted the comments on Facebook, because I was done. Done with you, and your business. You didn't say that if it wasn't on there to call. You said it was on there, but I could call anyways, if I so desired. I don't see how that's anything less than saying I was wrong, mistaken, or lying. The sandwich is still not shown on the website. So even now you'd most likely say the same thing as before, since you've claimed to have identified the issue. I don't know how you justify continuing to blame me, the person who only wanted to give your business another chance. You told me that it was on there when it wasn't. Now it's my fault for not understanding how that wasn't calling me a liar, or at the least incompetent. As if I'm unable to correctly read, and navigate your simple website. Thanks for the reply though. Only further cementing my decision.
I wanted to give this place another chance. I saw they were having a weekly special sandwich that I'd like to try. So I reached out on their FB page, and asked if I was able to call in an order for the sandwich, since it wasn't on their website. They then tried to tell me I was wrong, and it was on the site, just at the bottom of the page. I looked at the site before asking, and again after having asked and was told I was mistaken. Yet it's still not on the mobile, nor the desktop version of the site. So after being called a liar, and the past experiences with this place. I'm completely over it. I'll just pretend like it doesn't exist. I've attached a screenshot of the whole ordering page. No Chicken Philly to be found.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a very nice looking store. It's very clean, well organized, and has a welcoming atmosphere to it. My first experience was great. I bought some cheesy chicken, and rice casserole. It was pretty good, tasted homemade, without the hassle.
The next time though, I was seriously disappointed. I got a couple of things to try, one was a chicken, and mashed potatoes meal. The other was called a meatball casserole, but it was just a basic pasta bake. Both of them had good flavor, but both were completely disappointing with their protein. The chicken had the texture, and consistency of a rubber bouncy ball. The meatballs were worse than the frozen crud at the grocery store.
I really like the concept of the place. The flavors are good. The meat preparation is completely underwhelming, and made the dinners worse than Stouffer's. For the price charged, I expected it to be much better. I plan on giving them another chance, because I like to support local businesses, but I also don't believe in wasting money on a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI debated on posting this review, and was going to reach out to the owner on Facebook but most of the time, absolutely nothing is done when you tell management/ owners about bad customer service. They will brush it off and blame the customer. I placed a DoorDash pickup order today, October 13th. The wait time was long, and I didnāt look at that before I placed the order so that part is completely okay! Totally my fault for not looking at that before. But when I arrived, I walked to the order counter and was ignored for a couple of minutes before a lady walked over. I told her I had a pickup order and she told me to go to the bar in a really rude tone. Iāve never been to this place before so I truly didnāt know I had to go to the bar to pick up my order⦠Iāve wanted to go to this place for a few months now because Iāve seen such great reviews and it looks amazing (it tasted amazing!). When I went to the bar, I told the lady the name on my order and again she wasnāt very friendly and told me it wasnāt ready yet. It was not a big deal.. I walked back outside and came back in a couple minutes later and watched her completely ignore me and started doing something else before she finally told me she would be with everyone in a second. Again⦠Iām not the friendliest way. When she got to me, I told her the correct name that shouldāve been on my order (I told her wrong the first time- my fault) and she was a bit nicer that time and told me she did have an order for that name. The place was absolutely packed- I understand the stress.. Ive worked the food industry for 10 years , but the bottom line is, donāt work in the food industry if youāre not good at customer service.. Iām sure the owners are amazing people, and I will consider going back, but my first experience was not a good one aside from the food. The sandwiches were 10000/10! And I will praise them all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām 35 and not once have I ever took time to log into my account, to make a review. This will be my first and for good reason. I am anti-social and keep away from most media platforms, so writing this review is somewhat of a big deal for me.
My wife and I came in for lunch with our baby. The atmosphere was fantastic. Clean, smelled great, windows fresh without a mark. The colors and lighting kept my 6 month old engaged throughout the full process. The shop section felt like a homey Trader Joeās or Whole Foods store. The employees were engaging and kind. Even though busy, still took time to make the baby laugh when ordering. My wife ordered the Ruben, and I ordered the brisket French dip. It took some time for the food to be made, maybe 20 minutes. But that is to be expected, because they have signs outside saying ā if youāre in a rush, bless your heart ā. They do not hide that perfection takes time. And when I say ā perfect ā I mean PERFECT. This was hands down the best sandwich I have eaten, at any price. And just for 12.99. You canāt get out of subway or any sandwich/sub joint without spending 15$+. I hope they are making a profit with these prices, because this downtown shop needs to be here to stay. And if they do raise prices, I will still be coming back. Owner, keep up the great work with this vision. Employees, you are the backbone and your teamwork shows it. Thank you for the lovely...
