Cathay Express — Restaurant in Erie

I was giving a one hour wait time on my delivery, after an hour I called saying I still had not received my food. They called the delivery driver, who stated when he went to the house, children ran up to the door and got the food. We have no children at our house. Another hour later, when we finally got our food, the delivery driver told us he was at this house and handed it to somebody who was in the front yard. He assumed the children lived here. When I called the restaurant explaining the situation twice now, stating it was his mistake and we'd like some sort of compensation for waiting 2 hours, the owner said "I don't really know what's going on, you got the food didint you? If you want a refund bring the food back, we assume if they're by the house they live there too" I told him several times that I received no apology, and the driver Robert was extremely rude and clearly had several stories of what happened. This was the worst experience I've ever had; the food was not worth the wait, and the owner gave no apology for their mess up, instead he stated it was an inconvenience for them because they had to make the food twice. I've never received such bad customer service, not even a simple apology...

Favorite Chinese delivery in Erie, been ordering for 15+ years since they opened. Any other delivery place I've tried in Erie has been subpar or downright terrible. Similar to most Chinese delivery around here but without the extra lb of grease on the food, slightly cheaper prices and lightning speed delivery. Sure the people who answer sometimes don't know much English or come off somewhat rude, but you go in and they're smiling ear to ear and are friendly as ever. Really I think the occasional "rudeness" is nothing intentional and everything language barrier. One of the owners even gave my daughter some adorable barrets she made one time when we came to pick up our food, very nice indeed. At the end of the day they do their dang jobs and far better than the rest, so I'll always keep ordering from them, occasional language...

One of my personal favorite dishes and they one I eat over and over is the Singapore Mei fun house special , curried rice noodles with vegetables and all your protein chicken , beef, pork, shrimp , I have turned so many friends into exclusive eaters of this dish , it’s just a savory bowl of love , as I am a spicy person I add various hot sauces depending on mood , recently I have been doing Melinda’s Ghost pepper steak sauce on it .no open Wi-Fi But have it delivered , when the snow flies and you can’t get out ,...
