The Rathskeller Cafe — Restaurant in Erie

I love the new overall atmosphere. And I love the live music. I have yet to try their food, but I am looking forward to getting the opportunity. I used to shoot pool, eat some bar food, have a stiff drink, and perform regularly in an acoustic act here when it was Gaslight. I won't deny I miss those days and the "regulars" I got to hang out with. It felt kind of like a home away from home. The new atmosphere is very clean with great decor, but I just don't feel as welcome as I used to. I MIGHT return some Friday in the future when they have live musiC (maybe try the food). Hopefully, I will be welcomed by the staff, or at least not ignored entirely.... There were two female bartenders, the band was packing up, and there weren't many people asking for drinks but I was not acknowledged whatsoever by either girl ( despite making eye contact). After waiting much longer than I should have, I decided to leave as I felt almost uncomfortable. The customers did not seem too welcoming either...

Well, I have to say that the all-lawyer band The Barristars and Jack Stevenson and the Buried Treasure Band really rocked the house on Thanksgiving eve 2022! The “Skellar” is a great venue!
