Habibi — Restaurant in Erie

This place is AMAZING! My family and I walked in 45 minutes prior to close and the folks at this establishment could not have been more accommodating or more friendly. We had the sampler appetizer platter and we chose keffa, falafel and the stuffed grape leaves - all were delicious and the stuffed grape leaves were the best that I've ever had. My boyfriend and I each had the falafel sandwich with their lentil soup as a side. The falafel here are wonderful, seasoned just right and cooked to crispy perfection. The lentil soup was so good, very flavorful. My grandmother had the lamb kabobs, which I sampled and found to be some of the best lamb that I've ever had. It was VERY tender and cooked perfectly. My aunt had the steak kabobs, which I also sampled and found to be delicious. My family and I spend a week in Erie every summer and Habibi just made it to our list of "regular"...

Ordered some rice with meat. The meat was overcooked and burnt basically and the rice was over seasoned. I had to drink a tank of water just to wash down the seasoning not because it was hot but because it was just too overthought. I didn't have get the correct type of rice or meat that I ordered. Will never go back to this place again after getting 4 scraps of meat. HOW CAN YOU BE AN ARABIC RESTAURANT AND GIVE US 4 SCRAPS OF MEAT????? HOW DARE YOU INSULT OUR CULTURE LIKE THAT??!!! LET ME KNOW IF YOU BECAME A WHITE RESTAURANT BECAUSE I SWEAR, I'LL LET ALL MY FRIENDS KNOW. I'M VERY MAD AND I'D LIKE FOR YOU GUYS TO START GIVING QUALITY ARABIC FOOD AND NOT GARBAGE. This is a favorite for my wife and I. We usually get pretty much the same thing and have never been disappointed with anything. For apps we always get the hummus, the cheese fatayer, and the dolma. I love the hummus and the fatayer and my wife loves all three of the apps we get (I've never been a fan of dolma anywhere). Then my wife either gets a falafel or chicken shawarma and kebsa (red) rice and I either get shawarma or swordfish and lentil soup. I can tell you we have always enjoyed every bit of what we've ordered. Even the kids love it, we kind of just lay everything out family style.
