Would put zero if I could. I have ordered here for years. Heres what happened. Hope corporate takes time to clean up the mess that is Papa Johns in the Erie area. Used to be my favorite pizza. My wife and I got a date night and had a late night craving so ordered a pizza around midnight on Saturday. After ordering we went and picked it up and there was one person working. After bringing the pizza home we noticed #1 it was not hot, #2 it was not as ordered (well done, cut in squares, and on one extra cheese). We then tried to call not necessarily to complain at first but to let them know of the mess up. The phone was picked up and left off the hook as we could hear the employee talking to someone in the background about how he was the only one working and that they had a bunch of calloffs. He never did pick up the phone as we sat there for a few minutes waiting to even be greeted. We then tried to call the Manager line with no avail. I tried again a few minutes later and was able to get someone on the line and they then refunded the order and told us that they have a "Papa Guarantee" and would replace the order for free. For which we followed up on the next day and spoke to another manager and he stated it was never put in correctly and that he would fix it. We then waited a few days and planned a small party with our kids and told them we would be having a Papa Johns pizza night and called to order on the manager line as we were instructed to on Sunday... and the gentlemen stated that the order was voided and he was not able to do anything about it. Which was quit upsetting to my wife as she had a party planned and this was part of it. The guy on the phone then stated that due to my wife being upset and slightly raising her voice that he was not going to be spoken to this way (did not try to de-escalate the situation in any way or show any empathy whatsoever. Or even a simple we apologize that this happened... honestly he could care less. Then my wife just mentioned we are trying to resolved this situation and avoid putting THIS very review and he said... "one bad review wont hurt us"... then hung up on her. I would highly suggest avoiding all Papa Johns in the Erie are anymore. They are employee unempathetic, unsympathetic employees who could care less about the brand. Just want their pay checks and could care less about keeping customers or trying to understand the situation. Quite disappointing after years of loyal service. Go to Patti's Pizza they seem to care more about...
Read moreA male employee with an explosive temper violently spun around a cash register when a BOGO coupon did not take, pointed to the full amount for payment and stomped off, leaving my sister stranded at the counter. He then proceeded to pick a piece paper up off of the floor after having been at the till, did not wash his hands and went back to flipping pizzas. By this time the register was half on an half off of the counter, and on the verge of falling off of it. She came home severely traumatized by the incident.
The outburst was unprovoked, as she was polite at all times.
She phoned in the original incident to the Papa John's call center the same day and was told that the store manager was going to be contacted and would get back to her within 24 to 48 hours. Not only did this not happen, but according to an agent he did not even make a preliminary attempt notify the company that he would be calling us. Obviously, he feels violence like this is acceptable. We have dealt with this manager before and he is extremely independent and arrogant, so a worker acting like a time bomb ready to go off is probably par for the course, since he has an attitude problem as well.
Therefore, I would encourage you to go elsewhere, anywhere, as a shop who treats its customers like this does not deserve to be in business not only for this type of incident, but also for the critical health violation she witnessed. Your food might not even be clean and safe to eat. In my opinion, the Health Department should be involved and no doubt the Police would have been if I was there. I would've left the pizzas on the counter and told them where they could shove them.
There must be a zero tolerance policy for any kind of harassment or violence against a customer, especially in today's world with unbalanced people on the edge.

Read moreLast week we placed an order online for a papa sized pizza and cheesesticks. We were told 22-32 minutes for delivery and it showed up almost 45 minutes past that time and was not even close to being hot and fresh. When we contacted the store we were told by the manager the online time was off it should have told us 45 minutes to an hour because of it being pizza day at a school. (IF you knew this why would you not contact the customer and make them aware?) The manager (after being asked) gave us a replacement pizza for the next time we ordered. (For comparison: we ordered a pizza, 2 subs, Parmesan bites, and a 2 liter from Dominos minutes after this order was placed and received it long before Papa Johns even showed up AND EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND HOT!!!) Today we call at 12:42 to redeem the pizza and are told 45 minutes (which would be 1:30). When the order was 15 minutes past delivery time, we called and were told it should be here any minute yet another 15 minutes passes and it arrives at 2:02. The delivery driver told us it was fresh yet the box nor pizza were even hot, it was barely even warm. Totally unsatisfactory and unacceptable. Guess I’ll wait til Saturday to speak with the General Manager/Area coach since I was told that’s the person whom I...
