Teresa's Italian Deli — Restaurant in Erie

I have been getting food at this location for years, it has always been awesome. I got a party salad for my daughter's graduation party I ordered the biggest one they had because I have gotten it many times before. I was very disappointed it was the same size as their small part sized salad used to be, they said it would feed 40 people. Uh no way I had to order another one from Velerios and go pick it up. That one was much bigger. I also ordered rigatoni it had a little drizzle of sauce on it, all of the noodles on the bottom were totally dry and stuck together, I had to also go and buy 3 jars of sauce to mix in. Was very disappointed, I also paid $124.00 dollars for the food. Definitely got ripped off, I will not be going back again...I understand things are more expensive now but that was really bad. I never write bad reviews. But I felt they really let me down after all these years I have...

This place is a once a week at least staple in my house. The subs are generously portioned so you get a lot for your money. The bread and toppings are fresh and delicious and there are plenty of sides to compliment whatever you might order.

I would have subtracted another star from this if the food wasn't so good, but unfortunately the service here isn't the best. I've been on the phone and placed on hold for long periods of time (10+ mins, too long for a takeout place) only to have been forgotten and hung up on. The experience of ordering and paying for your food is mostly dependent on the current mood of whichever employee you're dealing with, and sometimes they can be pretty short with you. I think they just need a little more emphasis on service with a smile.

Don't let the prospect of a less than perfect service experience keep you from swinging by, though. The food is definitely worth...

Ordered 9 18” subs for my daughter’s graduation, well-sent my mom with a list and my card. My mom, was a tad lost trying to order but a young lady Mia took her time and helped her. Mia was sweet, kind, patient and knowledgeable about the menu and serving sizes. My mom told me that Mia’s disposition put her at ease and she was so very grateful for her. The next day I received a call (sorry I don’t remember the lady’s name) but she offered to even cut and tray the subs for me! The service at East 38th street was amazing to say the least.
