EL NOPAL MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Erlanger

I called in my pick-up order. I got there a couple of minutes early so I could pay and get my order and go. They said 10 min more when I got there, so I paid and sat done to wait. After 5 minutes, a man came out and talked to the guy at counter, he pointed at me, and the guy went headed back to the kitchen. 10 minutes later a woman carried a bag to the counter , gave it to the guy that I paid 20+ minutes earlier, The guy looked inside and she had not put in the taco I ordered and paid for so she had to go back and make that. I got home, took order out of bag, Fajita Nachos and the cheese and grease from meat was spilled over everything in the bag, I ordered a small side of cheese dip that was $5+. It was the size that every other restaurant gives you for dipping sauce. I will not go back. And recommend if you do go, make sure you look inside your bag before you leave. Let me start off by saying that the atmosphere is very authentic. With the music and the color scheme and decorations..You can tell that they do an excellent job of the up keep of the restaurant. As soon as you walk in you can smell the how clean it is but you can see it.. as soon as I sat down, they asked me what I wanted to drink. I placed my order. It was fast and efficient. Very friendly staff very clean environment. Food is excellent. I highly recommend this place. I know that this is minor but it he only downfall for me was the utensils. I think that they could invest in an upgrade on them. Other than that this is a great place for family dinner night, date night or if you just want to dine alone. And there is also plenty of seats at the bar. If you wanna watch the game have a cocktail have a margarita. I get this place five stars and 10 toes down....

Meh. It's not bad but not good either. Service is excellent. Building is nice, clean, and well laid out. Parking is ample with easy accessibility. The food is just food. Very bland. The salsa is definitely just crushed tomatoes right out of the can. The beef is just cooked beef. No spices. No nothing. Very bland. I seriously wonder if the ground beef is just boiled and tossed in a tray. There's nothing wrong with cooking it that way but you gotta dress it up a bit. Cheese/white sauce is more water than anything. Very thin. There was so much water that had separated on my plate that it filled up the bottom and I had to pour it off half way through the meal. The refried beans that were in the burrito are decent but it's pretty bad when they're the only thing...
