ahii poke — Restaurant in Escondido

I really wish I could give this place 5 stars but the brown haired girl who works 10-6 (as I over heard her brag about how many hours she gets compared to most of the people that work there to another customer) was completely rude to me. As I was looking over the toppings she kept rushing me even though it was only me and my boyfriend ordering. I ordered the eel and she slapped it down on the grill, never turned it on, and put it on top of my poke bowl. It was cold and definitely not warmed up. She acted like she was extremely annoyed that I wanted toppings on my poke. They have a rewards program and I wasn’t able to receive any of my points because she never gave my boyfriend and I our receipt. While no one was ordering/in line, she was wiping down tables and asking everyone in the restaurant how their poke was but she never asked my boyfriend and I how ours were, even though she wiped down the table that was right next to ours. I noticed from the corner of my eye that she was glaring at me from behind the counter while I was eating, talk about uncomfortable. I have been coming here since they opened and when I’m in town, I travel alit for work. This time I was rather disappointed, not by the taste of the food hut instead by the size of the bowl for the money that I paid. In the past I always got a nice size portion, it was so worth my money and my time driving to get their poke bowl. The portion size I felt was like a kid’s portion and the scoop of poke was the smallest I’ve gotten yet! I know we are in a recession but please keep the portion size and charge a little more! Better to pay more for more instead of more for less! Make sense??? Will think twice about coming here again. Been here several times now since we were in the shopping center. The prices have gone up and they havent been open a whole year yet. The poki here is just ok. If you are trying to be healthy just opt for the brown rice. Dont get the salad, most piece were brown on end or little wilted. I couldnt eat it. The employees dont really explain much they just tell you the list is on the sneeze window. The interior is pleasant but tables dont seems like they can sanitize since they dont really looked sealed. Bathroom is unisex and has a urinal which they could of done without since it only one room. It was clean yet gross at same time. I would rather drive across the street and...
